Communication In Nigeria Before The Coming Of Mass Media.

Last week I went to my grandfather place just to see how he is feeling, am we started talking how long we have seen each other but talk only on mobile phone. I ask how was it back then when there was no mean of communicating be the mass media.

This means that communication half is as old as man as the early men also deviced means of exchanging and dissemind messages opinions ideas to near and far places. Despite the fact that there were no modern media in the primitive days, early men were still passing information to themselves.

Some of the method are still very much around and relevant to our contemporay society,as the modern mass media has not been able to phase them out. In some part of Nigeria today the rural dweller still prefers traditional mode of communication to the modern media.

Modes of communication system.
This depend largely on the villages,communities or towns that you come from but in a typical yourba community we have :
