Passing incorrect information has become one paranoid act amongst people in this time and period. The spread of this activity is hastened by the presence of social media.
Social media has become a route for the propagation of rumors and indiscipline since everyone has access to the social media, then anyone can just wake up anytime and say anything that is false or untrue, on most occasions the individual just thinks about something and shares it.
The fact that the social media is as well filled with people who are gullible have made matters worse, this person just believes in any lies that come around their way, people claim too busy to properly investigate whatever the social media brings to them and they just believe it without thinking twice.
It would have been better if it was just that they believe it, they begin to spread it to other gullible people and the lies keep going round and round to the point that begins people begin to hurt or kill themselves because of untrue news which happens to be rumors.
There was news that went around on this side of the globe at a certain point, that encouraged people to consume grass. The news said that hungry people should go ahead with the consumption of raw grass and it will have no effect on them, and they were told that as a matter of fact, it will make them feel as if they are eating a sweet delicacy.
People began to eat different types of grass and a quite number of them died as some of the grass consumed was poisonous.
