In the 1980s, ex-KGB agent told his story about his experience in the USSR and how he defected to the US and tried to warn the America and all free people about the dangers of communism/socialism. Every American and indeed everyone in the world should listen to what this man had to say. I watched this several times over the years and shared it many times. It is rather long but there are clips of the highlights on youtube for the time constrained.
