✳Giving Back To The Community! Sending SBD To Steemians!✳

in community •  7 years ago

After my pretty emotional pieces that I've written over the last week orso, I have gotten quite a few sweet messages from people across the globe giving me all sorts compliments, notes of encouragement and just telling me how much I am appreciated on the blockchain.

Which fills my heart with love and gives me an extra boost of inspiration to keep on showing up and being open on here.

But it gave me an idea!

As a gift back to the community, I want to have an appreciation giveaway!

By @allyinspirit who'll be getting SBD for creating this beautiful piece!

It's simple.

In a comment below, tell me :

Which Steemian has inspired you and why?

Then I will send SBD to the person who has inspired you!

As a little token of appreciation from my side but also to stimulate the gift economy on here!

Cos I like spreading the digital-love and apprecation on here!

So go on, comment below on which Steemian has inspired you and why!

Looking forward to reading your comments and digitally meeting the inspirator Steemians!

BIG love,

Ashley

Definetly @steevc
Without him I would have joined way later or not at all. We have been active on other social network ventures before so sometimes I ask myself how my life would have been atm without all that time spent being creative. I definetly would not know so as much as I do about snapping pics.

Thanks for the kind words. Just found this as I don't get notified of mentions

Have you tried Ginabot?? :)

She is AMAZING!

I've heard about her. Just not had time to look

Oh she is WONDERFUL. :)

I can HIGHLY recommend.

Wonderful gesture! I would like to invite you to donate to @takeru255

He is a young Venezuelan operating his own restaurant that donates food to the homeless and those in need. As you already know Venezuela is in a deep state of depression as their currency is losing value each year from hyperinflation. Many people are impoverished and have nothing.

@takeru255 is doing a great job using his steemit earnings to help many people. He recently contacted me that he has troubles paying the rent and might even get closed.

"Digital-love"!!!!? Awesome word. You are a well broad-minded person. If I want to say or nominate a steemian who name is @nairadaddy doing some valuable digital social services here. He is persistently working for steemians, for his community people and his self-improvement by doing valuable services.

Thank you @kunani for the mention. @Ashleykalila is one of the ladies I respect on this platform. She's a strong, powerful, goal-oriented and kind-hearted woman. Much love for you 2. Cheers!

Aaaah you are sweet! :)

@nairadaddy is good man!!! :)

It's hard to narrow it down to one person, I've been inspired by so many great people here and the homesteading community in general. That said, I'd nominate @mountainjewel. They've got a lot of great posts that have been inspirational to me. They've also been pillars of the community by interacting with and connecting so many of us. They've also recently started a curation account that gives back and uplifts people. They were one of my earliest followers and have been so supportive and encouraging throughout my journey in the steemverse. They definitely deserve some appreciation and love.

thanks so much for your kind words and nomination @soulturtle. we're honored!! you're so easy to encourage and support! you create awesome content and your heart shines through <3 thanks again xoxo

Yes, they are good eggs :) :) hehe

@abh12345 & @humanearl inspire me the most,Asher with his contest that put me addicted to steemit platform,@humanearl with his thoughts and art of reciprocity that keeps me stick to his blogs

Thank you @iamanwaar for your kind words and mention!

thanks for spreading your love for us miss @ashleykalila, for that i will tell Which Steemian has inspired me and why ?. I am @junsusukhairi from Indonesia new beginner newly joined at @steemit. This is my first comment after I follow your blog. the steemian I really admire and motivate me as a new starter is steemian @adjs20, he is the greatest for me and there is no good person like him here. He is not arrogant and always helps us as a beginner in @steemit even he sometimes helps us by sending us extraordinary SBDs after we send him just how much SBD but he will reply to our SBDs many times, but as I am a new beginner I have not been lucky to get SBD from @Adjs20, I sent him SBD to upvote my post and I have not been lucky because that was the last time he had SBD and his account vacuum for several days in because his son was seriously ill and he had to sell all the Steem and SBDnya for child treatment his. Really he is a good person and I will pray for his son's healing. I do not blame him for not replying to my SBD because until whenever I and my friends respect him and keep praying that he remains a good person and will succeed back at @steemit. In addition to Mr @adjs20 For now I am again idolized steemian mr @damarth, really great steemian this one, every post related to @steemit all must be great success, we as new beginners will follow but can not comment on blognya, for those who can comment in its status will definitely get a profitable SBD. Often I try to comment on postingannya but I can not enter because I was so slow because I from Indonesia must first translate into English into Indonesian and have to type again and I am so late to comment on the status. I do not know how long I can have a chance to be able to comment on the post. I hope there will be to the magic. Those are two steemians who are too kind and sensitive to new beginners like me. I really respect them and want to succeed like them. Someday I will make them proud.

This comment has received a 0.06 % upvote from @speedvoter thanks to: @junsusukhairi.

You are too much. So sweet!!!! Always giving back. Karma will surly swing something great and slap you in the butt with it. : )
When I first came to steemit I was really just exploring while thinking of a new altcoin to invest in. I fell in love with the platform but was disappointed with the way the hardworking/creative folks were being not rewarded. I saw pictures and paragraphs that meant nothing being paid $500 in a few hours. I tried to reach out to a few older steemians and was basically ignored.
I found myself in the new section and saw someone creating some cute art and checked out his post. I really liked his work and found him hilarious. So I commented. @overkillcoin responded immediately and genuinely which was rare to me in here. Finally a human I thought to myself. I had seriously thought about not even coming back before I met him. Everyday I look forward to our interaction. It gave me a whole new thought about the members here on steemit. He recently designated his SP to a new user who he felt would appreciate the feeling of giving. He did this with really no fanfare at all. Not asking for a pat on the back and never “promoted” it. Talented, personable, genuine, consistent and giving. He’s the meaning of this platform. Luckily since I met him I have met some wonderful people. Love it and addicted. I would have left if not for meeting him. I’m sure of it. And now I’m here to stay. Now to planning my direction. Hmmmm : )

I tried to reach out to a few older steemians and was basically ignored.

Wow, this saddens me. They may have been too busy in general, but if they had time to respond to others, they should have had time to respond to you as well. A large part of Steemit has a heart problem, sure everyone's here for fortune and fame, so self interests are going to be at the forefront, but it's so blatant and ugly at times — to the point that I wonder if some of the large SP holders have a conscience or shred of empathy :(

I'd better reign myself in here, but I could go on (and on...)

I think it's easy to differentiate one's self here, simply by giving a care. Even in the things I do to promote my own success, I don't want to lose sight of others - I want to consistently give back...

And - on another note, we're glad YOU'RE here too! I'm looking forward to your posts. I may even learn a thing or two... Like... what a basketball looks like, how a hockey puck moves - or how a baseball diamond isn't an actual diamond... ☺

She's probably tired of hearing this from me by now, but I'm shocked nobody else has mentioned her: @beeyou. @beeyou was the one who found my #introduceyourself post and brought me into the #newbieresteemday initiative, and I have her to thank for all of her mentorship, and for giving me a community of Steemian friends to lift me up and help me find an audience. Also, she gave me permission to stop spending so much time researching my posts so I wouldn't get all burned out before I even got going, hah. Thank you, @beeyou <3

Aww @malloryblythe. This is just sweet of you! I’m so touched. I tell everyone we have a bunch of great people in our community. Everyone supports one another and your entry for me is so darn sweet. Thank you! You deserve all the success. You are one talented gal! I can’t just do a quick pass with any of your posts because you make me think! I have to use my brain cells to read your stuff, hehe. I am so happy for your success and glad we ran into each other. Some light fun paid off, right? 😉

Thanks again for thinking of me. ❤️

This is a great idea @ashleykalila, there are quite a few steemians that have inspired me but I would love to gave a huge call out of appreciation to @solarsupermama.
She is one super woman and super mama that I am so glad to have connected with on here.
She writes such inspiring posts about parenting, which I really appreciate, I have learnt alot from them.
She also write inspiring posts about positive ways to change our lives.
She has been so supportive to me recently, really lifting my spirits when they were low.
So big love to @solarsupermama and thank you @ashleykalila.

No matter how positive a member is to the Steem Community, they must first find their way here.

@Lyndsaybowes is that catalyst for many of my followers here on the Steem Blockchain. By setting up a group on Facebook new Steemian hopefuls find handholding from her and others in the group. They also find an immediate following from group members of Steemit Facebook Family group once registered on the Steem Blockchain.

She continues to aid by up voting and participating in her new Steemians' posts while adding great content of her own with posts to tags like #walkwithme and #ophumanangels as well as her activism posts promoting human rights.

@lyndsaybowe not only helps FB Noobs but the whole Steem Community by building on the Steem Blockchain's user base and contributing to its content.

What a lovely gesture!

In recent times, engagement around my blogs and the people I follow has zoomed - @fulltimegeek deserves much credit for this for his selfless delegation of 350,000 Steem Power to around 50 Steemians, which has rippled across the community.

He's a legend in these parts and many have, and should continue his path.

Cheers!

edit: I think he would appreciate if the SBD was sent to one of his most engaging Stewards, and so I nominate @goldendawne for her awesomeness towards the community :)

Thank you very much, I would like to bring to notice a remarkable steemian @admiralSP he has done a great job in bringing to our community the awareness of steemit. He introduced me into becoming a member of steemit and I have always wanted to show appreciation to him... He organises meet-up and presents seminars. He has been doing a great job and he deserves some credit for it. I will be very happy if you can compliments his acts. Thanks.

This is very sweet of you ma'am, i really love this idea

IMG_20180224_144931_813.jpg
@shunguystin is the one who inspired me to join steemit, he told me then that the only will and gift he can give to me is opening an account for me, i was very mad at him then because tag him to be this stingy bro who only cares for himself and no one else.

Though this platform has not been as easy has he perished but at least am not regreting and eill never regret for joining.

what have been able to achieve so far

  • was able to get an iphone 5s for myself
  • i sent 30k to my mom for her 50th birthday
  • am now dependent on myself for feeding and other allowance
  • the rate at which i make research has increased rapidy.

This is the best gift have received so far, may the good lord bless him. Thanks

Wow, great initiative! 💛 My nomination goes to @globalschool @opt2o @ideamachine @generationeuropa and @inyoursteem because these are social projects which empower other steemians.

there are so many people that have inspired me lately it would be hard to stick to one name ....
but for this one I will choose @jnmarteau because he is selfless and he is bringing new young people to steemit and immediately teaches them how to post and engage in order to be successful and not live the platform

the project is called @globalschool and it is empowering creatives to learn how to be professional steemians and to get paid as professionals :P

One of the nicest, most generous, genuine Steemians - and my personal friend: @saffisara.

Sass took me under her wing quietly at the start of the @adoptaminnow program and offered to support me in any way she could. Being the overachiever I am, I was hungry for guidance and tips and tricks to get good fast. Sass gave me something so much better.

She taught me what Steemit is truly about - community. About friendships that are boundary-less, unhampered by time zones. About being generous with your support, knowledge, and earnings because generosity is cyclical. Sass was there to be the only upvote on my post that I spent hours writing, feeling sad that no one would see it. She was there to help me join Discord/Steemit Communities and eventually join leadership teams. She was there when I started @ladiesofsteemit and was an instant supporter, shedding light on the initiative in her own communities.

And she was there to talk it out when I felt like I was failing, like no one cared, and like I wasn't good enough.

Sass shares her daily life on Steemit and is a constant source of positivity whenever she signs in. I wouldn't be as comfortable and happy on Steemit as I am today (by a long shot) without her. 💓

There are many, many many many many steemians that have inspired be. To be fair on this post, I will only choose one: @whoshim.

He works hard for ever poem that he posts. He works on it for days, polishing it, and it is always an exceptional result. Furthermore, he gives advice to other poets at the isleofwrite, and definitely taught me a thing or two! Although there are others that write exceptional poetry and help out others, I think that he deserves this 'nomination', as he is the one who gets the least reward for it. A lot of his work goes onto discord and does not appear on steemit (his constructive criticism on my poems, etc.) - so I have to hand it to him. Thank you for making steemit a much better experience for me and tens (or hundreds) of other poets! <3

@ishotz is the person i pick. He introduced me to steemit and almost everyone in the family except dad and mom. He is a lovely brother nd has also tutored over 50 newbies on steemit without complianing. Please he deserves the best

Thanks, @ashleykalila for this wonderful opportunity.
Almost a Month ago I wanted to signup to Steemit, I filled the form & many people told me that you will get an email within 7 days but after waiting for 15 days I still didn't get any confirmation email from Steemit.

So, someone told me that message @drakos on steemit.chat and he will solve your issue. But what he did is gave me a second form & told me to fill. I filled that form too & waited for 7 days more but didn't get any confirmation email.

So, I send a message explaining my issue in help channel on steemit.chat where I got a reply from @apsu (believe me, He is really a nice & helpful person). He told me a lot of ways which didn't worked But at the e, d He created an account (@bonniehere) for me & helped me to work on steemit.

After 2 to 3 days, I got Flag (I mean downvoted) by using other people content. It hurts me a lot and I gave up because my reputation level went below from 32 to 7. At that point, @apsu helpd me a lot. He gave me enourge to work on this platfrom & siad never give up, You can do that.

He is really a great person @ashleykalila & I inspired a lot from him.

And if there is a 2nd option to choose then you (@ashleykalila) are at number 2 from my list. I inspired a lot from you too! You downvoted my 1 comment & then helped me a lot when I sent you a message on steemit.chat

I think That is enough (the comment is going so long :D)

This is nice to hear and I'm glad you are still here with us, even after all the struggles you went through at the start :)

I'm hoping you'll have the something motivating you for Steemit also in the future and you'll be with us on the platform for a long time.

What a wonderful gesture! I'd nominate @churchboy and @ssonia, they have both been a brother, a friend and a very supportive guardian to me since i joined steemit @churchboy introduced me to steemit.com and taught me almost everything i know about markdown and also introduced me to awesome communities on discord, while @ssonia introduced me to many of the steemit profitable ways including trails and some more, they both deserve whatever is worth giving.

@ssonia introduced me to steemit. With that I found life more meaningful and meeting like-minded that made positive impacts onto me.

Hey @ashleykalila I see you are pretty awesome at steemit and have all the relative inexperiences about it could you tell me the key to success on here because I am new here but can't wait long for it but I am ready to work hard.

Hallo! @faisalus

@ssonia has been a great motivator who has Inspired me in so many ways, Most especially with his motivational posts. He is a man I highly regards

@acolucky commented on one of my post and asked if I wrote it, we went back and forth and he told a few of his friends about the stories I had written and then all the sudden I had a handful of followers and some people where upvoting me. Its a pretty good feeling. When you start on steemit, its a pretty challenging task to not have anyone following you, no one upvoting or commenting and to keep posting. Would say this story is just like many many others, one person took the time to help out and encourage folks to stay at it. Persistence seems to be the key here as it is with most of lifes challenges. So thank you and thank @acolucky and all the others who help push us newbies. I'am sure there is more to it, but one push could start a rock star on their path to the moon.
Gus

@surpassinggoogle and @surfyogi are priceless people on this platform.
They take out time to carry people like me along. Forever grateful to them.

At first I saw a youtube video about steemians. I loved and trusted that channel. That is why I joined in this platform. Now really I am happy to get this platform.

Nice photography ..... Thanks for sharing ...... @marzukirizki

well news. doing great share.

Congratulations for you @ashleykalila, suggestions and input from others make you better. I also hope so, my friend @perlekaya who has introduced to me about this steemit community. So I can get acquainted with a lot of people all over him. We are both newcomers, but one thing I always remember "he (@perlekaya) has given me a lot of explanation about this community, I'm not talking about people who have been great and have been instrumental to me in this steemit, because they are too great and valuable, but until now I still follow and take the lessons of those who have grown up, so that became knowledge and experience for me.
Thanks @ashleykalila

excellent pic

Wonderful work.i want to be a hard working person like you.

I would nominate you because you are my favorite human but you are running this haha!

I've got to say @futurethinker is the one that inspires me especially with what he is doing with the @promo-mentors community.

He doesn't have a huge whale behind him except @anomadsoul who trails in one of the community votes but he unselfishly created a group that bridges the gap between newbies and veterans of the platform and giving personal one on one feedback on how to improve in posting.

He also gives visibility to a lot of new folks to curie and OCD because a lot of the mentors are from those guilds.
Not everyone can get their posts to that level so he gives a community vote as an encouragement boost.

I really wish we could get more delegation for it as it is a worthy cause.

My inspiration is coming from @aykutenginar He is the one who encourages me to join Steemit community and tell me you can be successful here. He is always sharing his information and ideas on steemit to help crypto currency investors.

@otemzi has been of great suppprt, first he introduced me to steemit but didn't suppprt there but as well helped me find a ground on steemit, as we all know steemit can be frustrating if you're a minnow but he encouraged me and introduced me to various communities like the #africaunchained community. My appreciation goes to @otemzi

I was lucky that day when I received a phone call from @ssonia, who happened to be a friend and a brother to me, introducing steemit to me, telling me how it can help my career and build my knowledge, I couldn't agree easily but he inspired me, I was confused and wanted to escape joining with another excuse and then, I told him I don't have access to internet from my phone. He laughed and said that's not a problem, he then provided a means to access internet from me at his own expense and then urge me to join the platform. I did join but I realized steemit is another world entirely, so I ran to him again and he will lecture and mentor me. @ssonia has been so nice and even render different from of support to all minnows and newbies sorounding him.
@ssonia didn't have much steem power, but still he upvoted as many works as possible until his voting power is low. I have always thought of how to repay his kindness somehow, but I think here I got an opportunity. @ssonia is the one I can nominate.

I nominate @ssonia , @ssonia introduce steemit to me and i follow her on steemit, @ssonia is my mentor

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

@ssonia introduce steem to me and he teach me alot of things on steem ,he teach me how to post ,how to tag and alot of things on steem ,is it curation trail or what many thing, but he a good man and intellectually incline man ,he want good thing for other people ,,he is very good and kind to us on steem.

This is a good gesture, I nominate @ssonia he has been a wonderful and good mentor ever since he introduced me to steemit, he has helped me grow a lot.

@amavi inspires me by posting detailed articles on animals.

@markrmorrisjr inspires me by writing and cultivating writers.

Fabilous post,
and content and I flw you plz flw me .

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

There are many Steemians who inspired me but the one who I want to mention here is @spiritualmax because among all Steemians I know, he is the fastest one to reach 1k SP in record time through his grit and determination with some help from a few mentors. I have also been onboarded into a similar program by @underground, so @spiritualmax really is an inspiration to me and your reward for appreciation for inspiring people should go to him.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I nominate @ssonia and @yinkaknl.
@ssonia and @yinkaknl are good motivator, they has always been posting motivation post and original post.

Every day I become more and more aware of all the wonderful people here at Steemit who are giving of themselves for the growth and wellbeing of others. It seems so appropriate that Living in bliss in the Hinterland can be shared in this spirit of generosity at Steemit. Thanks so very much Ashley.

I also have someone I'd like to nominate: @lightingmacsteem and @minnowminer. Two accounts, but the one person.

@lightingmacsteem is the innovator of circuits that are capable of producing free energy that can be used in the home and for the production of food etc. Great for homesteaders and suburban off-grid households.

@minnowminer is the PR arm, promoting the acceptance of free energy devices at the mass level.

This is not for me, this is for ALL, that is why I am here now, blogging and hoping for same minds to appear. ~@minnowminer.

Or maybe you may wish to interview @minnowminer for @humansofsteemit 🦋

@udezee had been a good motivation.. Brought me to this platform to experience the positive side of being a writer..@poetrybyjeremy seeing his poems have been a challenge to me, his comments on my write-ups proves he hides nothing and wants growth of poets around him

That means a lot to me! I'm glad you appreciate my feedback and my poetry. Always feel free to message me (on discord) should you need my opinion ;)

@akinboyewa thanks for honoring me.
You are so kind.
I'm glad I motivated you and introduced this community to you.
I won't relent in introducing steemit to the world.

@ashleykalila so good of you to extend your capable hands to the community.

You are so sweet👌

@Admiralsp(50) These guy is a genius, he introduced to steemit, and encourage me a lot with is write up, to also push harder when I don't even have upvote, I believe In him is a great guy.

This is so nice! My friend who got me started on Steemit and has helped me along the way. I am a missionary in the Philippines. We were friends before Steemit. He is always going over and above for my family and me. Built us a website, send me care packages of things I cannot get here. He has been keeping my motorcycle in tires, oil change. And super patient with me as fall short on tech savvy! So much more! A true friend! @doccrypto

Very awasome post...thanks @Ashlakalia you gives us great opportunity....steemit is very trusted channel....i loved it....so really nice post....

Steemit is the most qualified medium in the world ,, in steemit we get together into ngak like other applications, and steemit has also expanded the network of friends around the world

Wow nice community post......
