Back to @miriamslozberg, she was chosen for this honor for a number of reasons. Below, I will highlight the awesomeness that is Miriam.

Miriam keeps it real folks. She blogs a lot about very important issues that need to be brought to the surface to include: depression & mental health concerns & also other "invisible" illnesses that are heavily misunderstood like PCOS.

Miriam is also a mother to a 15 y/o daughter. Miriam brings to light in her posts also issues that plague today's youth (particularly young women & and all women) when it comes to body image issues and unrealistic societal expectations regarding body image.

Miriam is a pretty cool lady. In her posts, I can appreciate her narrative and unique way of writing. Why unique? Miriam has a knack for getting straight to the point and in an easy to read and follow format.
