I could not get answer to how the tags appear going through FAQ. For example, I can post in some tags that I already see in trending topics, but what if I want to use a new tag ? Is it created new ? When does that appear in the trending tags ?

I would think so... I tend to use existing tags, once in awhile I just wing it with something new/appropriate
