Man seized, compelled to wed at gunpoint

Assertions a youthful specialist was seized and made to wed at gunpoint are being researched by police in one of India's Bihar state, which has a background marked by constrained marriage of men.

Video film clearly indicating Vinod Kumar being compelled to proceed with a wedding by his lady of the hour's family started the test, police in the eastern province of Bihar said on Friday, reports the NDTV.

'Pakadua Vivah' (constrained marriage) is a training particular to Bihar and encompassing territories, and is mostly completed by poor families who can't manage the cost of a settlement—still a boundless desire in India. A video flowed via web-based networking media demonstrates the architect being abused and compelled to dress for the wedding as he argues for flexibility.

'We are just playing out your wedding, not hanging you,' one man is heard to yell as Kumar asks to be discharged. Another video demonstrates Kumar sitting adjacent to his lady of the hour crying while a lady, clearly an in-law, tries to reassure him.

Nearby media cited the designer as saying one of the lady's relatives had pointed a gun at him after they met at a shared companion's wedding and requested him to wed her.

Since the occurrence, he has supposedly gotten away and come back to his home in neighboring Jharkhand state.
