How to build a PC (Personal computer)

in computer •  8 years ago
  1. Prepare the motherboard and hope at this point you don't have to RMA or have a DOA

  2. Mount the CPU (Central Processing unit) in the mainboard of the motherboard and make sure to line up the triangle with the mainboard because the CPU can only fit one way, so if you make a mistake at this point ... might as well go to your room and cry for hours as if you just had a breakup.

  3. Connect the CPU cooler to the CPU, which comes with most CPU's or you can buy an aftermarket one if you're rich or are planning to OC (Overclock)

  4. Put your RAM (Random Access Memory) into the corresponding dimm slots which can be confirmed by your motherboard manual or with some research

  5. Open the case and add the PSU (Power Supply Unit)

  6. Attach the backplate to the case before you move on to the next step, trust me.

  7. Put the motherboard inside the case and screw it in

  8. Mount and connect any hard drives or SSD's (Solid State Drive) that you have to the PSU

  9. Connect the SATA connectors to the drives and the USB connectors and also the case switches to the motherboard

  10. Connect the 20+4 pin or 24 pin ATX connector to the motherboard

  11. Since this is 2016, we will focus on booting the OS (Operating Software) from a USB which is done once everything is connected and the case is neat( make sure to do cable management)

  12. If all goes well, this step is to pretty much follow the instructions( yep, instructions on how to follow instructions)

  13. ENJOY !!
