Welcome back, readers! Today, Rico travelled 9km to get to the mission site by using the Ular Boys jeep and he was hoping to avoid any fights with the Panauan police but to no avail.
On my way to my destination, I discovered a military stronghold called Kuala Gandin and a village named Bandar Kayu Buaya. I also destroyed one of the gas stations near the place.
Despite a large police presence in the area, I managed to escape unscathed. Suddenly, the radio roared into life again.
Radio Panau: More executions in the hinterlands yesterday. Bodies of more than 20 natives troops have been found. The government suspected the terrorist and assassin known as the White Tiger to be behind this chaos and bloodshed.
While the radio was playing, Rico discovered Pekan Jati Besar bringing a total of 14 out of 368 locations discovered so far.
Finally, after 15 minutes of driving and killing off soldiers, Rico arrived at the Reapers headquarters. In the distance, Reapers gunmen were shooting their infinite bullets at the poster of the President, Pandak Panay. I can also refill all my bullets in this place. Quite a convenient place, indeed! I entered the house to meet Bolo Santosi, the leader of the Reapers.
Bolo Santosi: My name is Bolo Santosi. I am the leader of the revolutionary army known as the Reapers. Our goal is for the people of Panau to break the chains of oppression...and rise up as one.
Rico: I hear you are looking for able bodied...comrades.
Bolo Santosi: You are the Scorpio, no? I hear you are very...skilled.
Rico: They tell me I am the best...
Bolo Santosi: Of course they do. How come you want to join our cause?
Rico: I'll be honest comrade...I have my reasons. I am contracted to find and kill an American.
Bolo Santosi: I might be able to help you with that. Who is it?
Rico: A very dangerous man, with a price on his head. But to do this, I need the help of your organization...which they say is the best at finding sensitive data.
Bolo Santosi: Fair enough. It is true that we have eyes and ears everywhere. And it is also true that the Reapers need someone of your caliber. We can make this work.
Rico: I'll do any dirty work you throw at me. But you let me know anything you hear? Deal?
Bolo Santosi: I think we do have a deal, comrade...
[In a helicopter to an unknown site.]
Bolo Santosi: So you wish to be a comrade of the Reapers? Then listen. That pig president Panay is always looking for new ways to suppress the people. There is a place high in the mountains called the Gunung Gila Pangkat Facility...where the military does secret research.
Bolo Santosi: The thin air up there is advantageous in their research on jet propulsion...and rocket fuel. These secrets would better serve the liberation of the people...so we will capture that facility for the Reapers.
Bolo Santosi: Help us conquer this mountain, Mr.Scorpion, and maybe we can be friends.
[Landing at the facility.]
Bolo Santosi: Go with my people. Your Comrades.
Technician: You are to keep me safe until we reach the inner facility...where I can hack into the system network...override the control codes and make the facility ours. We move out! Remember to keep me alive, Scorpio!
In the end, Rico discovered the Gunung Gila Pangkat Facility. In the next episode, we will witness the stronghold takeover from the Panau authorities! I like the accent of Bolo Santosi. She spoke Singlish reminding me of my heritage as a Singaporean. Signing off! Sejuk!
