Are We Really All One? Collectivism vs. Individualism

I think that at the heart of a lot of problems in life is the delusion of separateness. (I blame Plato). The idea that we can just draw a simple line to divide 'self' from 'other', but in reality both 'self'and 'other' are purely mental constructs.

I like the idea of Indra's net, and I find your interpretation interesting. My personal interpretation has to do with the fractal nature of reality (or possibly our concepts of reality), in which every "piece" both reflects and is contained in the whole.

I totally agree nenad-ristic, you only have to visit anytown centre thesedays, you will see the huge difference between those who have money available to them & those who dont.
The difference between those shopping in the brand name shops & carrying those names on there carrier bags through the town centre proudly & those that are walking around the town centre, aimlessly, just for something to do, as they feel there is no other option.
Its all one picture, how people are blinkered to see one without the other is beyond me.
