Local Steemit Poster Googles Water is Wet, Writes 10,000 Word Dissertation About Water Being Wet, Receives Big Payout
Green Bay, WI - Local Steemit poster, who goes by the nickname @captainobvious88, was thrilled to receive his biggest Steemit payout yet, with just over $300, by posting a long winded analysis about water being wet.
We reached the very happy man for an interview:
I posted under the TIL tag, which stands for random things I Googled today in hopes of a big payout. We basically plagiarize whatever articles and studies we Google and hope enough people care about things like the history of lettuce and how it was first cultivated in ancient Egypt for the production of oil from its seeds. It's a gamble really.
The end result was a detailed work about the wetness of H20, a transparent and nearly colorless chemical substance that is the main constituent of Earth's streams, lakes, and oceans, and the fluids of most living organisms.
This is a multi-content-type format for your convenience: infographic, text, audio and video. Mr. Obvious makes sure to inform the reader of this, because otherwise the reader may not notice the different types of content.
It was an instant hit! I've had some previous success with TIL: The Sky is Blue, TIL: Grass is Green and TIL: White Middle Class American Hates His Job, but this was by far the most successful piece of useless and random knowledge I have ever posted on the blockchain.
The poster has already made big future plans about topics he wishes to Google.
The more you Google, the more you post, and the bigger chance you get lucky. It's important to keep googling and spam as much as possible. In the end, it will payout big time.
As we left @captainobvious88, he was busy googling for articles about eating more than you consume making you overweight.
Steemstreet Journal would like congratulate Mr. Obvious for his success, and the best of luck in all his future endeavors.

LOL.. Ironic that, a couple of weeks ago, Captain Obvious complained bitterly about the same thing he's doing now. The longer the better though. Steemit is a really a fun place to be.

I did? Or are you referring to an imaginary complaint from this imaginary person invented to make fun of and mock what I do?
Why would telling people I am providing multiple content types be an issue?
Are the long posts I do the equivalent to 10,000 words on water and google TIL searches? Is that what the point is here? To say it's a crap post that gets over valued for being crap?
Each time one of these posts is done, it's clear the reference is to me, as it uses specific references to what I post. What is it that I am doing that is a problem here?
