I probably should mention the big issue that got me in such an angry mood about Conservatism.
After flunking out of college I got a job writing computer programs for a local insurance company. The company was actually a state owned trust. I was paid $5 an hour and had no objects to working 100 hour weeks. Time and a half is $7.50.
I knew mathematics inside and out and saved the company several hundred hours of actuarial time that was being charged $180.
Anyway, I studied all of the formulas behind actuarial analysis and realized that there are fundamental flaws in the formulas behind insurance. I will avoid the details.
I emphasize I was working for a state owned insurance companies. Socialism is insurance made totalitarian and run by the state. The flaws would exist in both state run health care and private insurance.
Anyway, I learned way back in the 1980s that we need serious health care reform. What I've noticed is that political operatives on the left or on the right silence people who start talking about the fundamental flaws of the insurance industry.
In 2008, I realized that health care would the primary issue of the upcoming years. I dropped everything I was doing. I cashed out my life time savings (about $12,000). I then spent eight solid years with a single minded goal of finding a group of people willing to discuss free market health care reform.
I was thrilled with the Tea Party. I sincerely thought people in the Tea Party would be strong enough to break the political malaise.
I then saw a group of loud mouthed angry culture warriors called "conservatives" slam the lid on every debate about free market health care reform that I encountered. So, I became researching the conservative movement and discovered that conservatism is not a freedom movement. Conservatism is a oppositional partisan movement designed to stop the people from debating while the leaders of the movement rob the people.
I spent eight years trying to find people willing to discuss free market health care reform. The only person I found in that time was Ben Carson, but Conservatives quickly diverted Dr. Carson from discussing substantive reform to culture war issues.
The result of the systematic repression of debate is that when President Trump entered office, the GOP did not have a mathematically viable replacement for ObamaCare.
It is impossible to create a replacement for ObamaCare if there is never an open debate of free market reform.
Unfortunately, such a debate is a two front war. For a debate about free market health care to take place, I have to have arguments in place to defend off the claim that conservatives are for freedom.
Conservatism is an ideology created by the Tories to reign in liberty. That Conservatives are Tories is proven by the fact that Conservative MPs call themselves Tories and is proven by the fact that Sean Hannity works for the son of Sir Keith Murdoch.
Anyway, the reason I have been stuck on these political issues that I dislike is because I realize that Americans need to defend themselves against both the conservative and progressive parties. Both parties seek to limit liberty in their own ways.
