I guess no SteemFest for me, but SP 4000 and Rep 63 by the end of september 2016 is well within reach

"See, I told you, you should have started powering down right after that one big payout!" Then I calmly explain the 104 week investement return system and how a low average in weekly payouts is of little or no use to me. At first powering down could have become some extra income. But there is such a rapid decline in the value of Steem that it only would have been worth it on a very short term. Not even four weeks lasting. So I am going for the long term Steem investment. For the end of september 2016 my goal is set for 4000 Steem Power and a reputation of 63. And I see no short term logic in powering down, at all, because the price of Steem still could go down even more over the next coming weeks.

There is a pattern in the price development of Steem that suggests it might go below 30.000 satoshi BTC shortly. Somewhere half november 2016 this could be the case allready. The overall market activity per 24 hours seems to become relative less. Even in a growth period of the total market capacity of 'coins'. That could be a sign that Steem is losing trust from the short term speculants. Which might actually be a good developement for the long term price stability of Steem. So, a lot of selling going on, speculants that want to keep their losses to a minimum, dumping all they can on the market. A sign of this actually happening would be a clear gap between asking and selling price on the internal Steem market. That could be called a 'panic sell' going on. And this might continue for the time being, until it starts to fade out. Making the contrast between up and down less apparant.

Probably won't be attending the SteemFest conference

Allthough I'm convinced that the SteemFest, 11-12-13 november 2016, in Amsterdam will be something that could make it into the history books, I probably won't attend. Sure, I would love to meet some fellow Steemers in real life, and there is an opportunity there to do so. And maybe I'll find some way to meet some of you in Amsterdam that weekend, without the need of being at the conference itself. Because that would be the most important thing for me to go there, to meet and greet fellow Steemers in real life.

Conference, big crowds, lot of noise, staying overnight, not my thing, to be honest. It quickly triggers a feeling of being locked in very fast and then I just want to get out off there. 'Networking', that kind of thing, it is where I can actually feel alone and lost in a crowd.

Beautifull to see how the community is supporting each other in this. It really shows how people get along on a voluntairy basis, that hums throughout SteemIt as a Social Media platform. Human kind showing that it can be done. It is all there out in the open, for you to see. And see how fast it gets done when people thinking alike come together and really get in sync. My voluntairy objective can be not to attend because of my personal challenges. And I can still be happy about how it evolves and how others can join in and have the time of their live! To be a witness of this happening is allready awesome.

So there is hope after all

There is always hope and part of that is triggered by the SteemIt community. That does not mean there will be no challenges, or that it is 'perfect', or that Utopia has finaly arrived. But to me it is a part of an ongoing movement, that is starting to ask questions that matter. That is starting to doubt if we really need 'rulers' at all. There is a human liberty movement growing that is getting stronger by the day. And it might not be visible to see for the many, yet. But it is here and now. And SteemIt is part of it.

So, I'll keep on inVESTing part of my time and energy here at this amazing platform. And I am whishing that the SteemFest will become an awesome experience for everybody who is attending. Also a tip to the hat for those who make it possible to happen and those who help others to be able to get there.

No matter what the 'price' of Steem will do, short term, long term, I'll be sticking around for as long as I'm being inspired to post at SteemIt. And I'm curious to see how it will evolve over time.

Meanwhile, if you are going to SteemFest, have a great time with your fellow Steemers in beautifull Amsterdam! And maybe we'll meet someday in real life. Until then...

Steem On!

I don't care for the short term $ value, either.

Going to the fest doesn't feel like a huge comitment to me.

And maybe I'll find some way to meet some of you in Amsterdam that weekend, without the need of being at the conference itself.

Let's have a drink then ! my shout.

If I'm able to make it to Amsterdam by then @felixxx, then we'll have that drink!
