The American Information War: an Orwellian nightmare.

"The next war will be an information war." This is a statement one of my college professors made to the class, while I was studying information security. He elaborated about how foreign adversaries could hack major websites, such as Google, and control the information (news) that we see, essentially creating a false reality. The ultimate way to impose propaganda.

After learning about how information security works, I thought often about that professor's statement, about the unavoidable, future, information war, and concluded that it could indeed happen. I always assumed it would be a foreign enemy that would conduct information warfare against the United States, like North Korea. I never entertained the idea that the war would be waged from inside our own borders, by our very own citizens. Maybe I should have paid closer attention to George Orwell's book 1984.

The liberal mainstream media is conducting all out warfare against Americans on television, in newspapers, on cable, in Hollywood, and on the Internet. President Trump was correct in calling "news" networks, like CNN, "fake news." These networks are doing everything in their power to undermine the Trump presidency, by failing to report actual news and the President's accomplishments thus far. The liberal media focuses on every little word President Trump says, then spins and distorts his statements, in an effort to paint Donald Trump as the most evil and incompetent man in the world.

Internet search engines, such as Google, even filter what is returned in search results. I was writing an article for a client the other day, who wanted to convey how Trump is good for the United States Military. While researching content for the article, I quickly discovered that it was going to be difficult to write. Not because Trump hasn't done or doesn't plan to do anything good for our military, but because any information shining a positive light on President Trump is buried away, deep within the search results. I used search strings containing the keywords: "President Trump," "military," "military plans," "military technology," "rebuild the military," and numerous others. What were my search results? Page after page of Trump banning transgenders from the military. How convenient for the liberals who control what information we see. Where are the articles outlining President Trump's long term goals for the military? I found one Breitbart article, and it was hidden away, almost 7 pages into the search results. Big Brother doing his finest work.

Cloudflare is a tech company whose services are utilized by approximately 10% of the Internet. The CEO of Cloudflare has stated that he intends to ban conservative and alternative media sources.

Far from energized by the decision, which saw Cloudflare follow in the footsteps of Google, Facebook, Apple, PayPal, GoDaddy, Spotify and others that took action, Prince voiced concern with a lack of a system to manage censorship decisions with consistency and objectivity.

Of course, any American with a little common sense can see what is going here. We are aware that the liberal elite are trying to tear down this President, this country, our history, and our Constitution. The question is, what do we do to stop it? We can't continue to sit idle as the "silent" majority anymore. We have to do more than write a few articles and make comments on Facebook. The great nation of The United States is being ripped apart from the inside out. We need to stop this rip from growing any bigger, sew it back up, and prevent it from tearing this country to shreds.
