"Green" standards
By 2030, 14 US cities will meet "green" climate standards, banning the consumption of meat and dairy products, as well as the use of private vehicles.
The list of cities includes:
— Austin, Texas;
— Boston, Massachusetts;
— Chicago, Illinois;
— Houston, Texas;
— Los Angeles, California;
— Miami, Florida;
— New Orleans, Louisiana;
— New York, New York;
— Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;
— Phoenix, Arizona;
— Portland, Oregon;
— San Francisco, California;
— Washington;
— Seattle, Washington.
The main goal for all these cities is to achieve "0 kg of meat and dairy products consumption", "3 new items of clothing per person per year", "0 private vehicles" owned and only "1 short-haul return flight (less than 1500 km) every 3 years per person".
