LEVELING A FLOOR? CHECK YOUR REFERENCE POINTS EVERY SLAT.

My first time leveling a floor went wonky when I neglected to pay attention to my leveling line. I was on a tight deadline the new washer was coming in a couple of days. I was in a hurry to get it done. On top of that, I found other problems that needed to be addressed. I was feeling the pressure. The leveling line slipped halfway through the project and I didn't realize it. This is the reason I hate being rushed. Too many things can go wrong. I pictured myself working on this project at midnight the day before the washer was due to arrive. Here are some photos of the project.

What's that silver stuff on the left side wall. OMG!!! it's the aluminum siding on the outside of the house! arrrggghhhh.

Got the wall fixed. I won't notice it is out of level until the subfloor is completed.

Almost there. By this time I have discovered the error. Too late now.

Ready for the new washer. No time to paint, just a little wall patching.
