My graph paper kitchen plan, much amended
I spent the morning checking the cabinet order over and over, as the sales person recommended. I found multiple mistakes, all of which lowered the end price.
Mid morning the excavator guy showed up and he and his son put in the exterior drain.
They left and took the bulldozer with them. They came back with the medium excavator.
Wednesday morning the excavator guy texted to say he’d not be out today and my husband replied he was holding the excavator hostage!

Tuesday afternoon we went to Lowe’s to try to check out lower priced cabinets. Turns out our sales person was there and she priced them up. But we weren’t wild about the stain color available and the price was not that much lower, about $367. The only good thing about these lower priced cabinets was I would get the lazy Susan I wanted.

I had her correct the mistakes on the original order and in the end, it took $1737.00 off the price of the original cabinets. With the sale discount of 30% we saved $4953 off the regular price. We got the higher end cabinets we wanted and we got the special finish we wanted for free, another $1100 savings.
Lowe’s does it again! So our cabinets for the kitchen are ordered.
Wednesday morning I went through the pantry, laundry, office, and clean room plans and listed the cabinets needed for these areas. These will be 6 of the cheapest ones, and 3 of the next level of quality for the office. I had previously selected colors and styles, so that was easy.
We are now debating about ordering these while the sale lasts. The main problem is storing all of them….
