The contagion of a mindset.

“Don’t moan, moaning is contagious” my one-time high school math teacher used to say. Humanity is susceptible to contagions of all kinds that we take anything at all for granted. By contagion we have transmitted and received from the highest of the values we all Globally cherish and revere to those we as well equally resent and disapprove off. Even as we come off age of the age of the mirage of purity of any thing despite the seemingly superficial outer macro exposition and understand by all our collective and individual efforts conclude that nothing at all is purely of its own and by its own purity, being separate, unique and different seems to intrigue, entice and fascinate us even more and the feeling rather seems super contagious that everywhere we look humanity seems to fail for it in way and manners unprecedented. Irrationality as contagious as rationality particularly when and if practiced by those who are known to lead and their leadership positions remain unchallenged, though their position wasn’t achieved without a challenge but decreasing challenges as they rise to the zenith, Perhaps it is only rational to think their backslide too will cause a gradually rising challenge, but only after the initial and subsequent contagion of faith following contagion had done mortal damages will humanity stope to take a deep breath and think to question the rationales of its mob and blind faith following.
Mass awakening perhaps is an after effect of a shock of a social debacle of epic proportions that will force the contagion of human rationality to force change the course and perhaps that have been often rampant in the course of hitherto human history.
Perhaps the nativist Xenophobia, race supremacy and purity, the fear of the unfamiliar, and territorialism in the face proliferating knowledge, knowhow and perhaps capital and money, far beyond the scope of territories, cultures and social groups that have been the norms up until a few years, that started in what was thought and accepted to be the center of the global economy, culture, technology and scientific advance had above all human civility and enlightenment caught fire and is spreading the world over with an irrationality that is sparing none. When the center of moral universalism and social relativism failed victim to moral relativism and social universalism as those in the leadership seem to advocate and propagate and negate the very founding principles upon whom their legitimacy stands and the mob like chants along with them the world over, we better believe we are all in it and the train we are on is headed for a catastrophic halt.
Human beings are first sensational, instinctive and fearful and only rational and confident second. Confidence building and rationality are time dependent functions while sensation and instinct are instantaneous and hardly time dependent.
As time has become short and more and more valuable perhaps rationality is failing victim to sensationalism and instinct, we simply have no time to think clear and act right but act our instinct and fulfil our sensual needs which are in return temporal and personal very relative by all measures and it goes everywhere one looks, hears, feels and touches, all the way from the day laborers to the heads of states. As human capacity to hold and process information remained the same or perhaps the same or if changing not by as much as the information to be processed and retained in light of the ubiquity and inundating daily life of modern-day humanity. As we are awash with incongruent fragmented and descript pieces information we simply seem to have the greatest shortage of time to draw a chart of the vast information and make connections and correlations, relations and functions and make a projection to adjust our actions and decisions accordingly for a longer-term benefit and wellbeing.
Temporality and sensuality have robbed us of a common reference for our truth and falsehood and we tend to make judgements and actions on the fly just to satisfy our sensual tactical needs, but these myopic and self-centered view of the world is breaking the thread that binds humanity as our common truth reference if all else recedes to the background and the imposition of pretentious logic of moral universalism simply crumbles in the face of modern day scientific reason and rational.
