THE MORTIPUS, MWAHAHAHA!
Between me (@theironfelix) and @calluna (@f3nix is still on his spring break / Easter vacation, leave the lad alone), we decided to judge it by this criteria: (a), the entry directly answers the central question of life experience AND it having taught a great lesson and, (b), how meaningful the impact was to one's life. Seeing the two proper entries by @owasco and @agmoore2, it certainly was a difficult challenge and I (@theironfelix) shall give a small stipend for @agmoore2 for not only re-entering with a more fleshed out experience but fulfilling the requirements.
To give a small brief of @owasco's entry (a comment entry), it is a very sad tale of bureaucratic school function's that preaches inclusion but practices conformity. While I can definitely give an account of why it is the case (at least in the USA), I shall be brief to just say that public schooling had long outlived it's a combination of factors that clearly points to the model being outdated. Yet I shall leave the hornet's nest of the word that shall not be spoken on here (p*litics), as the @bananafish tribe explicitly is a p*litical-neutral/free zone - as outlined on the @bananafish manifesto here to click. To return back to the point, @owasco not only tells the tale but also how we shouldn't view neuro-divergent (or "different") people as aliens but apart of us - no matter what the bureaucrat says.
Just to congratulate @agmoore2 and @owasco once again. Cheers to you two for contributing to making this not only a contest but a wonderful occasion to reflect on the important parts of life!~
Godspeed, proud readers! See you again in the Realms of Bananafish!

I am grateful, not only for the prize, but for the chance to tell my story in such a lovely community. It's not an easy story to tell and have it be so kindly received. Thanks!
Stacey

Thank you, Stacey, for giving us such a thoughtful and personal entry. Our hearts go to your son and to you for the way he is treated by the system. 💙
My apologies, I looked back and read that you gave us a link to your freewrite partly inspired by our contest that was somehow missed. Please forgive us for having done so. 🤗
Wishing that you and yours have a wonderful day. 😊

@theironfelix: I will participate in any contest you sponsor. Always the motive is positive. I really respect your perspective on life and your absolute honesty. Compassion is in your vocabulary, but not compromise of principle. I'll keep my eye out for the next round. And I'm glad @owasco garnered the prize. It was just nice to share the story of my mother's couch. She deserves honorable mention :)
@calluna: Looking forward to your next creative challenge. You're a great writer and a conscientious overseer. It's fun exercising my creative muscle under your supervision.
BTW: If you guys get a chance, look at my latest science blog. Took a long time to research, and has some really good information (even though I'm not supposed to say that).
I do love it here at Steemit.

Aww thank you so much <3 and I very much hope that will include a bananafish inspired story/poem ;)
Ooo I had a quick look but i will give it a proper read, I have just started taking a supplement on the advice of a family member that helps the body produce glutamate ( I think, will very much be double checking) so very much want to get my head around this!
