Hello fellow steemians!

New York City, USA city skyline of Midtown Manhattan.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday, Australian Monday, Tuesday of Antarctica and world's oceans, African Wednesday and European Thursday to give them your support if you like their image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #6 - winner announcement!

@jon24jon24 Asian Sunday entry:

Cordillera Mountain Ranges

This photo was taken at highest peak of Mount Pulag which is the second highest mountain peak in the Philippines. We had to hike for 3 hours before getting to the campground and we had to take another 2 hours hike from the campground to the peak. It was raining throughout our hike so it wasn't pleasant as we wanted it to be but in the end, it was worth to see the beautiful sunset. We could see the Cordillera mountain ranges along with the golden clouds lying around the valleys.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #6 – winner announcement!

@betterthanhome Australian Monday entry:

This shot was taken on our first Australia Trip back in 2013. It shows the "Three Sisters" in the Blue Mountains National Park which is about 2 hours drive from Sydney. The Blue Mountains are the perfect location for hiking.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and the world’s oceans week #6 – winner announcement!

@schmidthappens Antarctica and world's oceans entry:

This is a favorite photo of mine I've always wanted to post somewhere and this challenge is the perfect place for it! This is a photo of the Baltic Sea taken in 2009. I was aboard an overnight ferry connecting Stockholm to Tallinn, Estonia. Nothing really compares to an overnight ferry, a great way to travel. This was sunrise before docking in Tallinn. I think I love this photo because I have such wonderful memories of the trip!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #6 – winner announcement!

@schmidthappens African Wednesday entry:

Zanzibar, an island off the coast of and part of Tanzania, is one of my favorite locations I've visited in Africa. There are so many beautiful, colorful boats, many waiting for the tide to come back in like these. The natural beauty of the island along with the historic Stone Town make it a great destination in East Africa.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #6 – winner announcement!

@travelgirl European Thursday entry:

We took this photo when we visited Milan Duomo (Milan Cathedral). There were options to take the stairs or the lift to get up to the top. The view there was absolutely stunning! As it was getting into winter, you can see the snow on top of the mountains from far away.

I am happy to participate for the first time in a contest steemit! Thank you @czechglobalhosts for this great initiative!

I photographed this landscape when I took the ferry to go to Staten Island (New York State/USA). January 2017.

We will see the Bayonne Bridge, hidden in the clouds. I like the atmosphere of this photo, the incredible colors of the sun trying to pierce the sky ... I am lucky to have visited this part of the planet. I recommend New York and its area. It's a really special place, not found elsewhere ...

Great entry. Thank you so much for your submission. Please stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas

Thank you so much Tomas! When exactly? I can not wait ! 😅

We took many photos at the Grand Canyon and this is just one of many. We were told that you can actually hike down but you won't be able to make it back within the day which we were not going to try as the group was already very tired from traveling for a few days. Great photos can be taken on a clear day so time your visit if possible

Wow, amazing photo. The Grand Canyon is on my bucket list.

Thanks! It was definately a great trip

I love it! Tomas

Let me try it again, I like this contest..
This is Lake Peyo in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
It always makes for a great shot, the greenish blue of the water is a beautiful contrast to the surrounding mountains and landscape.
i was lucky to come here twice, i highly recommend visiting this amazing part of our planet.

Great image! What a beautiful place <3

Thank you, I really recommend the Canadian Rockies

What a stunning entry! Simply beautiful.

Cheers, did you make it to Canada during your own travels?

For this week's North American entry, I'm going very personal. This is from my hometown of Grafton, Wisconsin where I spent the first 18 years of my life. I came home last December to visit my parents and there was no snow on the ground. Then magically over the weekend, a snow storm brought in 8 inches of snow. It definitely felt a lot more like Christmas after that and made for much better better photos!

Really awesome shot!

Lovely picture! Looks like a very peaceful place to live.

Capturing the essence of a New Yorker's everyday commute, the Staten
Island Ferry slowly makes its way to Manhattan. The Freedom tower hovers, almost protectively, amidst the clouds seemingly watching over the New York commuters on their way to the city.
Happy to be a part of the contest.

Hi, what a great entry for the competition. Please stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas

The last alpine hike of the season, up through the Drinnon Pass in Valhalla Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada all the way to Gwilliam Lakes. The trail is steep, rocky and challenging in spots, but it's well maintained and as always, the view is well worth the effort.

This beautiful view sits at 2170m in elevation and takes a leisurely few hours to hike to from the rugged FSR that leads you to the trailhead. If you ever find yourself in the Slocan Valley of the Kootenay Region this hike is definitely worth the work.

What a great entry. Thank you so much for your submission. Please stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas

Beautiful shot, thank you for your participation! Tomas

Carrying on my theme of active family holidays, here is one of the Rocky Mountains with the two boys enjoying a walk in Colorado. The air was crisp and around every corner there were breathtaking views

Although we were only able to go for a weekend, New York has been one of our favorite trips in the US. We've never seen skyscrapers as tall as the ones there. Many of our favorite movies have been filmed in New York, so we were constantly reminded of many movie scenes as we walked and explored the city. Everyone there kept saying the best time to visit is in Fall because Winter is too cold and Summer is way too hot, so make sure you keep that in mind if you'd like to go.

Great entry, thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

OK, here is upon request from @czechglobalhosts contest photo with 30 to 50 words as a description.

Early morning in Denver, when I woke up in my rented car because of very cold night. I know sleeping in a car in US is prohibited but much cheaper you know... There is no filter in it but beautiful as only nature can be.

An infrared view of the woods and the lakes in Ithaca, New York. In the infrared photography the tree leaves are white, because they reflect it and the sky and water are dark because they absorbe this part of the spectrum.

This kind of photography gives a different view of the world that we see everyday.

I took this photo while visiting the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada. Each day, the tide rises and falls a total distance of 16m, which is about the height of a 3-storey building!

These are the largest tides in the world and in this photo the tide was all the way down, which is known as "low tide". As you can see, at low tide, all of the boats rest in the mud down below until the water rises again!

Alright, maybe next time! Thanks for putting on this contest, there are some very nice pictures here!

Ketchikan - a cosy small town in Alaska, the USA. Interesting, that this place has a nickname that sounds like "Salmon Capital of the World". I remember that I was not allowed to go out from the ship because of immigration, so had to take a picture from the open deck.

Thank you for your submission. Due to many images entered I picked others to go further. Have a great day. Tomas

The New York City skyline is accented by I World Trade Center (Freedom Tower), which is the modern, glass structure that rises to the heavens and reflects the world around it. Thank you for creating this contest!

Thank you for your submission. Due to many images entered I picked others to go further. Have a great day. Tomas

San Diego - 8th largest city in the US and home to the San Diego Padres. The city was a big surprise for us. We enjoyed the Gas Lamp Quarter, where we had the best tacos ever, and the pretty cool bayfront. I shot this picture while crossing the bridge from the Petco Park over to the Hilton at the Bayfront. We can definitely recommend a stay if you are in southern California 😃🌴
