It sounds like you had better bring a will barrow full of bolivars to Starbucks. Unfortunately, there are a lot of countries like that.
I dropped my daughter off at the airport yesterday for a mission trip to Uganda. I was running through the normal dad checklist. When I got to the money question, she says I'm good, I've got 4 or 5 thousand shillings left from last time.... I do the typical knee-jerk reaction to which she's laughing because it's only about 1.25 USD.
Thanks @dreamryder007, Inflation is rather interesting, I just wish people really understood the actual causes of it. Then they would not push for the things that cause inflation, but greed, etc. get the best of most people.
While it is true that we have serious difficulties (a.k.a. crisis) in my opinion the government is the lesser of our troubles (still they are the ones who are supposed to give proper solutions to all this).
We have a problem as a society, we just can't stop blaming each other for our dysfunctional economy, many blame the Government, others blame US and EU sanctions (silly thing to do because of the fact that the ongoing crisis is older than those sanctions. Yet, I can't see how these sanctions will benefit us in any way). We have to stop the senseless, unproductive-childlike attitude and START WORKING OUR ASSESS OF!
From groaning, we gain nothing, from international aid (with due respect for all who kindly really want to help us) we will gain nothing but a huge debt with the ones "helping us". This is just how the world is, we have to adapt and to work our way to success or we will be forever in a corner with a depressing attitude complaining about our bad luck.
We got used to having anything easily, we have a problem now and instead of being giving our best to get out of this situation we start begging for international aid... we will never achieve a thing if we keep going with this attitude, and I am sick of it. Politicians are the reflection of a society, we have a bad Government and a bad political opposition to that Government. If we want real lasting changes, we have to change ourselves and build a new society with new moral values of hard work, discipline, and honesty. Otherwise, we will be trapped in this infinite loop of crisis forever.
You finally came back, you do not know how happy I am!
That at the time of this post. Tomorrow will be worth 1,500,000 bolivares for the economic disaster we live, but always with our heads up and looking for ways to pay for that coffee lol. Greetings and I hope to participate in more giveaway yours!
Glad to see you are back with the giveaways...
In my country a cup of coffee is 5 RON which is like 1.25 USD.
Wish you a great day and always Steem On!
Venezuela does not grow enough food for its country, so they were getting Coffee From Nicaragua for Oil, but I believe at the Begging of 2017 they stopped sending oil to Nicaragua, so now imagine coffee is like gold...
Welcome back, @dreamryder007!!! I tried converting it to our currency so i can appreciate a cup of coffee in Venezuela. It turns out that it would cost me 500++ for just a cup of coffee!!! Really expensive.
Random thought: I want to play that game you and rook were playing yesterday lol.
I need a puter soooo bad.

Omg! The inflation is outrageously high if this is the case. They need international aid.
