The blockchain technology every day surprises us and allows us to expand new horizons, overcoming barriers and obstacles; blockchain was born as a support for bitcoin, however over time it revolutionized the technology applied in different areas of our lives beyond the financial world.
Through its public or private decentralized database it works as a registry ledger that does not only have to do with financial exchanges, its registry is distributed among hundreds and thousands of computers around the world called (Nodes).
These records are updated by means of a consensus between each of the parties that make up this chain, the information entered in it can not be eliminated unless there is a consensus between most insurers in the network. This system is a new way of storing data that guarantee a safe and inviolable management of information without the need for dependence on centralized entities allowing the creation of infinities of models.
With blockchain it is possible to build a unique database in which the user of his clinical history can have access to it guaranteeing an effective treatment and a transparent interoperability between the different institutions; with Blockchain we can also manage invoices by automating the payment procedures and claims eliminating intermediaries and additional costs, likewise in this order of ideas the chains of supplies and medicines will be optimized by means of a single record of transit from the laboratory to the final consumer allowing at all times to track and verify their originality.
In the United States, health costs are so high that they cover almost 20% of the GDP (Gruss Domestic Product), being one of the highest costs worldwide in terms of hospital care, medicines and operations.
Example:
One night of hospitalization in the United States can cost US $ 5,220, while in Spain it costs only US $ 424, a simple operation of an appendix varies between US $ 16,000 and US $ 2,000, seven times the cost. Some of the benefits on the use of Blockchain in the health sector is reflected mainly in the reduction of the cost making it more accessible to people with difficulty paying for these services creating a more humanized, transparent and safe medicine.
In the world of science and research advances, a high percentage of researchers do not share clinical trials or their results for fear of being altered or stolen, which significantly reduces the speed of development in the advancement of medicine; the chain of blocks guarantees the immutability of the information being key in the construction of a database of safe and responsible global reach; As you can see the scope of the blockchain technology can substantially improve the health sector, replenishing direct benefits for patients, this technology guarantees the security privacy and reliability in the interoperability of data, avoiding possible cybernetic attacks on monitoring devices and Patient databases.
It is a medical data platform that is developing its own block chain by putting medical data in the hands of patients in control. The MediBloc platform also allows patients to share that data with the relevant parties.
MediBloc creates an access level category in such a way that it facilitates the relatives of the nearest patient to make decisions on behalf of the owner in case of emergency, so that it is possible for health professionals to access the data.
Through MediBloc, patients can go to any doctor and give them full access to their records, simplifying the medical process and ensuring that they have all the necessary information necessary to maximize the care they can provide the patient.
This platform was founded by Dr. Allen Wookyun Kho and Dr. Eunsol Lee, who have a solid background in the medical and engineering fields and have a good team to execute a project of this magnitude.
Example:
A doctor in the United States with a certain case could request opinions with other medical colleagues either in the country itself or globally.
Health systems are very traditional in their operations and procedures, perhaps these methods are too new and it lacks time to adapt them to their way of working and functioning, the implementation would imply a drastic change, which must be progressively adapted.
On the other hand, the existence of huge amounts of smaller centers of attention would imply operating costs and charges on resources that would not be economical, taking into account the acquisition of equipment, platforms, terminals and personnel training.
It should be noted that the introduction of this technology would have to be debated and restated by medical boards and the country's legislation for future regulations.
MediBloc offers an API and an open source SDK, are tools developed for the implementation of new services within the platform creating applications that will serve various industries, from health monitoring and insurance to data exchange
API: (Application programming interface) is a set of rules (codes) and specifications that applications can follow to communicate between them, serving as an interface between different programs, facilitating human / software interaction
SDK: (Software Development Kit) is a set of software tools necessary to develop programs that interact with other software through an API, the contents of the SDK are focused in fact on the exploitation of these API we have SDK for many and diverse example systems, these are: mobile systems applications for interact with specific products of various companies.
MediBloc has already successfully launched its SDK V0.1, whose set of tools includes, library, development documentation, code examples, guides, etc., allowing developers to create new features on the platform and facilitating the creation of applications that will include characteristics of health professional certification, data exchange and will be fully operational in coordination with other components based on the Blockchain of MediBloc.
Among the innovations of medibloc SDK V0.1 is:
- Building search of BlockChain.
- Creation / display of transactions.
- Processing data efficiently and safely using medical formats.
- Creation and administration of certificates for medical professionals.
The MediBloc tokens will go on sale from November 13, until December 15 with a total of 10,000,000,000 and an availability on sale of 50% of their tokens, MediBloc has focused its maximum effort to the study of blockchain technology .
The decision of MediBloc to issue its own ERC20 token, aims to offer greater access to potential users and offer better liquidity, since ERC20 is more accepted by exchanges to protect the rights of MED holders, they will be issued the same amount of ERC20 token that the QRC tokens currently issued. The distribution of the token for MED holders will be in a 1: 1 ratio.
