As a way of saying thank you to my Steemit followers I've decided to offer a $10 SBD prize to the person who can come up with the most clever and inspiring words of encouragement to keep going and reach my next goal of 500!

Words of encouragement? Do you really need this? Less than a month and you have a solid core of 150 follower. That might sound small in comparison to a lot of other accounts but I can tell you one thing. You have good followers. 150 people are are willing to upvote you. Your posts are very good and content isnt lacking. So do I need to encourage you or are you being humble?
If you still need encouragement after I spoke so truth, just compare your previous posts to others. Your posts are doing better than mine on average and you have 1/4 less followers and been here a little less time. It is getting hard for new members to get a follower, I mean real followers who will vote, but as far as I can tell from you you got this down. Keep up the good work. Don't change what you are doing, only down hill from now on. Just keep bringing great authentic, original and new content. (Yes those first two are the same and its that important.)

I really respect the wish of minnows to shere things with others . I will say something and please dont get me wrong its only my opinion . I know the sistem works this way on steemit - upvote to join any contest . I think people really have to upvote the contests they join , because its fair . From other side i tottaly disagree with fallow . upvote , resteem rules . This is only MY OPINION , i always upvote the contests i join but not if its demanded in the rules . I take your point and I will consider it for next time. You are saying that an upvote or follow shouldnt be a condition. From my perspective a follow isnt bad as a condition if the author agrees to follow back. I've looked at a few contests and feel these terms are pretty reasonable and universal. An upvote would help support the minnow holding the contest with the burden of giving out a prize. Either way I appreciate you taking the time to drop by and look at this contest. I've never held a contest before but this has certainly been worth it because of all the fun I've had reading comments left by contestants! Thanks again ;)

I think every one who enter a contest without voting the host is just .....realy selfish. Sadly with the 10 votes dayly for minnows , if they use 3 or 4 voting them self posts is sometimes hard task voting people you like . I usual end my day with 70% voting power or even less ( having the % bar ) . My point is - DO you follow every one who follow you ? Is it posible to like every blog or every user here ?

Everyone that posts on this contest i have followed. I said I would in the article and I'm a man of my word. I constantly use my voting power on new users and its quite low at the moment. Your point about following everyone who follows me is a good one. We both know its impossible. Nice message to @ldauch, but @ldauch is still considered a minnow. Minnows are based on the size of their wallet of Steem Power which determines curating voting power to reward users's posts and comments, meaning 1 SP to 4,999 SP is a Minnow. When you reach 5,000SP to 29,999SP that is considered being a Dolphin. And 30,000 SP and higher is considered being a Whale in voting curation power. I hope that helps you with this rough explanation.
