Comment Contest: How Do You Want Your Burger?

in contest •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey, hey, hey, Steemheads!

It's obvious, I am loving contests. Recently I just had a comment contest and it was fun so I want to make it a weekly thing. I am doing monthly contests but it's a post kind of contest, not a comment type. I decided I will hold weekly comment contests because they are fun and rewarding as well.

Last week it was simple and uncomplicated, it was just a contest in the comments about justifying why pizza is better than a relationship. I had so much fun and I was able to engage with 28 Steemians who joined. Thank you all so much!

If you are familiar with how I hold contests, no one loses in them. Every participant gets something. If you are seeing this for the first time, please care to watch for them then join them and just have fun.

How Do You Want Your Burger?

This week will be all about burgers because I crave them. Share in the comments how you want your burger, make suggestions about how burgers should be. If you think the world does not know something about what you think is best with burgers, this is the place where you shout out all about it! We will take English only comments. Put as many comments as you like. If you have burger pictures, you may include them but it's not really required. Just make sure the photos are not violating copyrights and all that. You know the drill on that already.

Prize scheme will be the same as last week. It will be 50% of the SBD payout goes to the Winner and 50% of the rest goes to everyone who joined. Basically this contest is like a faucet or a splitter, everyone gets to take something. Again, no one loses.

So, that's it! Don't forget to make your posts funny and entertaining because that's how I want them. The funniest and most entertaining comment for me, wins! Down below are the rules, so it's all clear.

Task:

Share how you want your burger. Share how you stuff your burger. What is your secret burger recipe? English comments only. Leave as many comments as you like all through the week. You may include a picture you took of a burger but it's not really required.

Prize:

50% of the SBD payout of this post goes to the Grand Winner. The other 50% will be shared by everyone who joins. NO ONE LOSES!

Have a look- how my burger should be

We begin with the bottom bun (obviously!) which we prefer toasted slightly. It will help hold your condiments in the bread and not on your shirts. This would stand to reason that condiments come next, but only your ketchup and mustard.abstract-1238247__480.jpg

Next up is pickles. They go under the meat so their strong crisp flavor doesn't overpower our tomato that gets added later. Add meat and cheese (which is hopefully melted) and then tomato. If cheese is melty enough it should hold the tomato still. Add lettuce (it acts like a blanket and keeps the tomato in place) and then onion and mayo. I prefer red onion for taste and color both. Top it off with toasted top bun and we are all set and let us goooooo hhhhuummmmmmm

This is how I would want my burger to be as well. Good job with the explanation of layers. I also do that but the onions should always be near with tomatoes. Nice one!

I love BURGER! :D
Who does not want burger? Grab some and you will understand.
I want burger that filled with thick patty with a lot of cheese...... less for vegetables :D kidding

Mouth-watering right now...

I dont like to eat burger but when we were on vacation with my boss I forced myself to eat it than to keep my tummy empty.
I cooked burger for them all at home before but now they are buying in McDo,it just opened here nearby years ago.

I loved burger with a lot of cheese, and I hate myself I have no picture of burger at my storage lol...cool contest, resteem😊

You have a storage, a kaban of food pics. Ahahahaha! Great to see you here, Cha, and thanks for the support. I love cheeses, too. Regards to your bully sidekick. ^_^

haha who bullied you my dear, I kicked hard at the butt side lol...more power 😊

Thank you, Cha! Pawerrr ka din. ^_^

I love burger with beef and lots of onion together with a yogurt drink preferably Hollandia Yogurt

I am so tempted to try this combo. I don't think I have had burger with yogurt. Thanks for joining!

u welcome

How I want my burger to be served ??

I want the buns toasted
I also want the patty a ground beef meat
Having a lot of cheese and mayo
I don't want it to have some lettuce or something else. I was solve in my burger having only the buns, the patty and its overflowing mayo and cheese.

Hhahahahahah, I was not a fan of eating burgers so a simple burger with patty and cheese is fine with me ;P

Toasted buns will add a crunch and it's a good thing. Thanks for joining!

I prefer a homemade burger just like in Burger King the "crunchy chicken" but in my own version! I want toasted or grilled buns hehehe, then add the crunchy chicken, lettuce, tomato, melted cheddar cheese, cucumber, sunny side egg, barbeque sauce, and pickles. I hate mustard hehehehe!

I'm not a mustard fan either. hahaha! Thanks for joining.

This.. I want to eat this.. I'd drink a IPA with it.

Burger with beer is epic! Thanks for joining, @beercraft.

I love the burger's of all the food chains here in my country. They taste so good, but the only thing is this " EXPECTATION VS. REALITY ". I'm saying about the appearance ahaha. That feeling when it looks yummy on their menu picture, but when they give it to you it's like "WHAT HAPPENED? " AHAHAHA

Well it's still the taste that matters most! ahaha,

That's it!

I like double patty burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo.
No mustard. No pickles.

Hate that "unang kagat, tinapay lahat" ("1st bite, all bread"). IYKWIM. hehe :)

Yep, mustard and pickles are not for everybody. Not a mustard fan, too. Thanks for joining.

Me, I just want a simple burger that I can buy anywhere when I am hungry, it's called Burger with egg :)

I love burgers with eggs. Specially when I am too hungry. Thanks for joining.

not a burger fan actually but if I have no choice but to eat one, i'll have toasted buns with lots of cheese (because I am a cheese fan), with lettuce, with tomato, with just enough meat (i prefer fish). then a little mayo will do.

Okay so for my burger, I want the patty to be done moderately; not overcooked that would be without the juice anymore but not too undercooked that it would have a 'fishy' taste. I want it to have lots of cheese, mayo, lettuce and a few onions (so as not to overwhelm the taste)...A slice of tomato will do as long as it's not that ripe. and no pickles please

Nice one, pickles is not for everyone, I see. Thanks for joining.

I love my burger yummy with little spray or mayonise and moderate size chopped cabbage with lettuce

Cabbage and lettuce with mayo is yummm like coleslaw. Thanks for joining!

Hi sis ❤️ ❤️ , How are you ??

I love the burger that my dad makes when I'm home. He grates a lot of carrot and even cut onions. And then make burgers and then put it all together with mayo and sause. Yum yum

Oh wow! I love grated carrots on my corned beef, so I might like it in my burger, too! Thanks for joining, @ashley4u. I'm quite good. I hope you are well, too. Thanks for checking!

Offcourse sis ❤️

I dont like to eat burger but when we were on vacation with my boss I forced myself to eat it than to keep my tummy empty.

I proudly recommend the travel burger! You'll feel the difference of every country's pride when it comes to burger. The last time I visit, I had a great time with my Australian burger! I use my two hands to cuddle with this huge one! Hehe! :D

This is consist of grilled patty, a juicy lettuce, couple of mushroom, lovely pickles, glazed onion and who could live without the cheesy cheese?! It's just perfect! <3

Oh wow! A jawbreaker! I just woke up and this makes me crave one. Hahaha! Thanks for joining.

I am not really particular with burgers but, I love burgers when there is cheese on it. :) YUM YUM! :)

Aw same here. Methinks, i love the cheese more than the burger. Hahaha.

Jalapeno cheese and a picle.... These two ingredients makes my burger complete aside from the french fries as side dish. I really want my burger patty a 100% beef cooked right on the grill inside a hamburger bun with sesame seeds on top of it. Fresh tomatoes and onions as garnish will do. I don't like a bit of mustard but a spreadful of mayonnaise wherein every bite of my burger is a mess since its plenty. Eat them all together with catsup plus a soda is a full and satisfied tummy I have.

I really do love burgers :)

I want mine to be with cheese. Loottsss of them. So when burger king had the fourcheese burger, it became my favorite kind of burger. Well, the patty could just be anything but it was a plus it is flame-grilled angus beef patty.

See all those yellow? ^_^

Hmmmmm simple answer I want my hamburger to be hot and yummy like my ate bambam :))) AHAHAHAHA BOOM! PANIS!

Burgeeeer! ❤

I don't have a secret recipe but as long as it has some veggies and meat in it I am happy.

Burger King is good. 👍

hi there @mermaidvampire,
just want to share my own version of my burger that is so good to go with red wines, I usually love to have burgers but not the beef ones, I like grilled chicken in it with potato fries, lettuce, grilled tomato, grilled white onion, fresh cucumber, blue cheese and mustard only, no mayo and ketchups. weird tastebuds in here.

Wow, the chicken patty sounds nice. Your taste isn't conventional, it's better than conventional! You don't fail to impress me, @otom. So, chicken patty and everything grilled with blue cheese and potato fries, this sounds like a great party. Plus, the red wine for good night sleep. Ahahaha! Thanks for dropping by.

Oh, I forgot to mention for the chicken to make it juicy, marinate that chicken breast with lemon and a pinch of salt, pepper then set aside., melt your butter, add a garlic til golden then add a honey, remove from the saucepan let it cool, then mix it together with your marinated chicken, keep it frozen, take it out 30 minutes before grilling time, it's my low tolerance in beef patties that resorted to grilled chix.

I want my burger loaded with ham and bacon, wet with cheese, dressed with salad, without panty..

ooohhh without patty 😂 sorry! type error

I want my hamburger with a lot of cheese and bacon, lettuce, tomato, double meat, fried chicken, french fries, smoked chorizo and many tomato sauce, mayonnaise, tartar sauce and garlic sauce, sweet barbecue sauce and sweet mustard, delicious!!

I like homemade burgers. I prepare the beef with oatmeal, garlic, pepper and chives. The bun slightly toasted. With a layer of cheese, caramelized onions and pickles... and a little BBQ sauce. That's the perfect burguer for me.
