congratulations to @marty-art again, being the only one brave enough to have entered so far, or the only one so foolhardy as to do it, thinking that the prize was to be 30% of almost nothing.

Instead he is delighted to hear that he once again has received two Steem Backed Dollars for his efforts.

Like cheap candy from a baby, lol

@spaingaroo is like a sweet innocent baby on here, as you would all vouch.

I would like everyone to know that I have received an email apparently from steemit.abuse telling me that the service which you see advertised here is a bot scam.

email in question

I tried to go and respond, but I couldn't connect with that user.

I had already tried it and wasn't about to repeat, but thanks for the heads up steemit.abuse

today's contest post.

what can we see here today?

I can see a note from when I was trying to come up with the name spaingaroo, although it seems out of time.
I have had my domain name for longer than this book is old, I think.

anyhow, and working on the layout of this painting (you can see that on the left hand page)

If I can find the folder I can show you what the problem was

I had first set those circles, target things in a field of gold, and had started from the top with the 'cloud' and was trying to decide what to do next.

well, can't find and want to post. Another day in a dedicated post.

a detail of it

And on the other page there is the same thing going on for this work, (little box on right hand page)

I suffer from over-thinking, I am not a naif artist, that's fer sure but work things over to the max.

meanwhile there's also the usual notes trying to find names for artworks.
I prefer titles that are plays on words or outright puns.
I think I do all right in the end

you can see the progression

the white boy
the man boy who cried wolfman
the boyman
the boy who cried wolf (now that sounds familiar)
and finally, you can see the title that I ended up using

"The wolf who cried uncle!"

and I see the cryptic note, "culturally insignificant other half" which I can't remember what that refers too.

probably me having a whinge!

anyway, that's the things I can think of to tell you about here.

your humble servant, el bicho

Enough from me, don't forget, your work does not have to be visual in nature. Writing is fine and poetry too.
All I ask is that do create something in response to something you see or feel in my sketchbook page.
If you have an already existing work that you think is perfect, well, you only to give a little justification speech and you are fine.

But connect in some way with me and my work please

for the rules and regulations you can go here https://steemit.com/molaaspaingaroo/@spaingaroo/m-o-l-a-a-molaaspaingaroo-long-post-to-serve-as-permalink-for-rules-and-regs.

The sky is the limit.

your creations remain your work. Post, and then comment here and link. Use the tag molaaspaingaroo.

wow, very nice indeed.

Have you put any of your designs onto fabric?

do you know spoonflower?

I have a profile there, and have a lot of designs up, but not organised (surprise) and rather neglected lately.

see you soon

With your okay - these could end up on fabric or other print on demand products through Zazzle. Last time I checked Spoonflower makes you pay for swatches before you can sell. I am working on a new affiliate link shop that I can run through my website. Any royalties this shop makes will be used to buy Steem and then powered up! And providing that you are okay with this - when things sell that originate from your sketches I will also send some Steem your way. <3

sounds fine to me, but I release my things into the world as much here as if you saw my work hanging in a large and prestigious gallery.

Which is where it should be of course.

once it works it's way around your head for a bit it becomes yours.

make out like an artist, after all, as a synonym for steal like an artist

I definitely need to do a new intro, rules and regs post for the contest

I just never stop.

PS; Spoonflower does make you get a swatch, but if you get thirty at a time you get 'em cheap, and they are useful too.

(not that I have used them yet, but they are useful I insist to myself over and over)

and you don't have to get a swatch to buy your own fabric, only to sell on the marketplace there.

I am scotty_es there, I can't remember why I suddenly changed the branding
my profile I hope although of course I have www.scotty.es too

I am not quite sure what you mean by the gallery bit...lol. And working things around in my head is definitely something I know becomes mine...things like poetry and written word - and creating something new from sight. However I have been literally layering your sketches into my art which takes on a whole new element of 'who owns what'. The 'steal like an artist' thing I still haven't come around to the idea of wording it quite like that. I prefer to think of it as 'collaboration' or 'teamwork'. Since I am very easily inspired by working with other artists I love to build upon and give credit to the original muse.

I might try spoonflower one day! But for now I need to focus on one virtual shop at a time :)

yes, I think we can talk about this some day in the quiet room

yay, have been working on a design all day, and haven't done anything here yet

just going to see it now

Thank you :)
