Calling all artists!! (Longtime artists, newbie artists, occasional artists, or people that just want to try things for fun).

Week #8 Theme:

This can be in whatever Visual Art form you like (Painted, sculpted, sketched, whatever visual form) as long as it is 100% your own work.

[At this time I am not taking photography submissions as there are many out there. Check out the additional contest posts below for some that do photography.]

How to Win

Upvotes on your post below will count for 25% of your score (Bot upvotes & your own upvote do not count)

Art submissions are judged fairly and unbiased by @topkpop and will be scored on Creativity, Originality, Quality, and Popularity

Next Week's Theme will be announced Sunday

The Winner will also be announced on Sunday along with the Theme post, and the delegation will be sent too at that time.

This was made this week with the contest in mind but not as the only motivation (I did choose to make the narwhal transparent based on the theme of this week's contest). I apologize if that's against the rules and understand if you need to disqualify me for this week.

On a different note, I had a suggestion for a slight change in how the scoring is done for contest. I've noticed that these posts get a lot of their views earlier in the week. I feel this gives an advantage for the popularity aspect of the scoring to people who post their work on here soon after the contest is announced. For someone like me, who can't create art in their medium right away, I feel I don't really have a chance of doing well with that section of the scoring. I thought instead, you could close the submission aspect of the contest on a given day, then make a new post with all the submissions included and ask people to comment their favorite (or have all the submissions in the comments of a new post where people could upvote it). Either way they would have access to all the options at the same time. I realize this would probably be more work for you so I understand if it isn't possible but I thought it might give later submissions a more fair chance at winning. Anyway, that was just an idea I had, I don't want to tell you how to run your contest.

Actually, I have been considering changing things up a bit. Popular Vote only counts for 25% of the scoring as I want everyone to have a decently fair shot, but I understand your concern especially for those outside of normal mediums. I thank you for your suggestion and I am a bit surprised no one has suggested that earlier. I will be implementing that in the next contest but maybe with an even better twist to drown out bots or group auto-voting.

Also, that is fine as long as you made it this week and had the concept in mind. Perhaps if you don't mind adding something to your post that you submit that would explain why it matches the theme of the contest, that would be helpful to me as I do read the posts. You are entered for this week though. Thank your for taking the time to respond :)
