Crispy Apples Baked with Caramel





Ingredients:


  • 500 g puff pastry;
  • 4 large granny smith apples;
  • 3 tablespoons of white sugar;
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch;
  • cinnamon and cloves - to taste;
  • ¼ tsp salt;
  • 8–12 toffee or caramel sweets;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar.

Cooking



Cut two sheets of dough in half and roll a little. Peel the apples from the rind and the cores (do not cut the fruits themselves, they must remain whole).

Dip them in a mixture of white sugar, starch, spices and salt, put 2-3 candies inside.

Put each apple in the center of the dough and collect the edges: it should make a neat bag. Grease each with a beaten egg and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Send the blanks for 15–20 minutes in the freezer, and then bake for 25 minutes at 200 ° C. Let the prepared dessert cool for 5–10 minutes and serve.
