Vegan French Toast!

If you got a chance to read my post Attempting Vegan Bread!, than you know I was planning on making french toast. So this morning I got out my Plant-Powered Families cook book and got to work! It really was a simple recipe. I always thought it would be hard being vegan but I am learning alot of their recipes are actually really simple.

While I was making this french toast, I was very unsure if it was even going to turn out. Just seemed weird making french toast with no eggs. All I had to do was bkend all ingredients and dip the bread. So easy. Too easy is what I was thinking. I couldn't of been more wrong. These thing were super delicious. Sweet and cinnamony! Yummy. We really enjoyed them with pure maple syrup. The kids were even asking for seconds. Thats a win in my book!

It made 13 slices and I still have half of the batter left for another day! I did double the recipe though thinking one would not have been enough. I would definately make these agian. A very nice breakfast treat!

Directions
•mix all ingredients in a blender
•let sit mixture will thicken while sitting.
•if too think add more milk a tsp at a time.
•heat non stick pan on high until hot then lower to med/high, lightly grease pan with oil.

This looks great! I tried making vegan french toast before, but it didn't turn out well. I'll have to give this a try! Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks. It worked really well. But it does get sticky. So if you do try it take your time with the flipping! They sure were yummy! Have a wonderful day!
