There will be lots of things happening in the football world today. First, some has just happened, because in the middle of the night (in Europe), Brazil managed to win the first semi-final in Copa America against Peru. The last time they met in the tournament Brazil won 4-0, but this night they only managed to win 1-0.
This evening (night) it will be time for the second semi-final in Copa America in which Argentina will play against Colombia. I really hope Argentina will win, because a final between Brazil and Argentina would be absolutely awesome. But, who knows? Lionel Messi and Argentina have a habit of messing it up, if not in the semi-final, then in the final!
But, that isn't all. Tonight it is time for the first semi-final in the European Championship in football as well, meaning that Italy will play against Spain tonight, before England will play against Denmark tomorrow. The semi-finals in Euro 2020 will start at 21.00 local time in most of Euro (20.00 in the UK).
In other words, we have a lot to look forward to. I might not stay up to watch the match between Argentina and Colombia tonight, but if we get a final between Brazil and Argentina in Copa America, then I might considering ruining my sleep in order to watch the match!
The match between Spain and Italy will be awesome, and I do hope it will be action-filled, and not just a lazy defensive match that will end up with a boring penalty shootout. What do you think?
I have no fear when it comes to the match between Denmark and England. I am quite sure there will be at least 3-4 goals and a lot of fun in that match.
