I Call B.S on This Presentation in Ecuador - What Do You Think?

So I found this video on YouTube called Ecuador At The Equator - Water Demonstration - Coriolis Effect at first I was blown away when someone mentioned that she pours the water from different sides to reach the desired effect. I thought about it and I realized that a thin red line does not represent the actual size of the equator, so I figured she using to her advantage the fact that that water flows straight down at the equator to demonstrate the difference. She did this by pouring the water in from different sides of the basin and pulled the plug very quickly...Am I right?
