Notice that he fails to mention that the Israeli attack on Gaza came in direct response to the slaughter by Hamas of Israeli youth at a music festival near Gaza, and in response to other unprovoked, coordinated attacks on Israeli civilians. It's not that the deaths of Palestinians are justified as a response to the deaths of Israelis. But Cornel West's failure to mention the murder of young Israeli civilians shows how selectively he preaches "solidarity."
