This is one of those things where if you're following me you're kind of unlikely to be in this category (so not sure posting this will achieve much) but regardless: this is pretty bonkers. "More than 20% of respondents said this year that people of Asian descent are at least partly responsible for Covid-19, compared to 11% last year."
What even is the logic here? "You can tell they were in on it because they were so diligent about wearing masks"?
Maybe it's a perversion of lab leak theory. I do at least partly "blame" the Chinese govt and a subset of Chinese researchers (but also: their American collaborators and funders) for covid... Though even there I see it as tragic, well-intentioned mistakes, not malice. But extrapolating that to "Asian Americans" is wild.
