Stoking vaccine hesitancy with awful risk assessment.

I was supposed to get the single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine on Saturday morning. Now I'm getting the first of two Pfizer shots.

Last I checked, the Johnson and Johnson vaccine was halted due to six cases of blood clots out of about seven million doses. Basically, you're more likely to end up hospitalized or dead from just about anything, not the least of which Covid-19.

We've been bad at risk assessment, as a species, pretty much since we started walking upright; but, what's worse is the snark of some health officials. They immediately point to their own authority. I've even seen one person evoke race and gender concerning Nate Silver's statements rather than an actual argument.

You're not much of an expert if the first words out of your mouth are declaring yourself to be an expert.
