The World Health Organization's advisory committee on vaccine composition is recommending we stick with the current coronavirus vaccine composition targeting XBB.1.5.
They say that the available evidence shows this strain targets the circulating variants globally and that even the ascendant JN.1 variant is getting cross-neutralization with the vaccine.
The US has its own advisory committee that handles coronavirus vaccine strain updates that will meet at some point. They generally agree with the WHO committee with flu vaccine strain updates. With the coronavirus vaccines, they've disagreed in some cases and agreed on other occasions. So we'll see. There isn't any indication we need to update the vaccine further at this point.
