Jeffrey Sachs (economist, head of Columbia's Earth Institute among other things) headed The Lancet's original 2020 COVID-19 Commission. He dissolved that commission last September due to conflicts of interests of some of its scientist members. Now he's pushing for a more thorough investigation into covid's origin, including the possibility - just the possibility! - of a lab leak. This interview gives a good overview of why.
For the record, at this point I'd bet 10-to-1 that it was a lab leak (unintentional!), in Wuhan. That's where I'm at. But of course we're missing the most crucial data: eg, records of the earliest cases. A lot of that data is in China and may never be uncovered. But some of it may be in email inboxes here in the US, and I hope he digs it up.
