Ukraine like the US has been grappling with how to handle medical professionals that spread misinformation around the coronavirus and the vaccines. A number of doctors/health systems have been implicated in giving out fake coronavirus vaccine certificates this pandemic in the country as well.
The Ministry of Health has been contemplating sanctions against such medical professionals. I'll be interested in what results from this process.
In the US while there have been calls for similar measures, nothing really has materialized that would see say anti-vaxxer doctors lose their licenses. It typically requires direct harm to a patient under their care. The diffuse harm of the misinformation they spread on social media skirts scrutiny.
Welp. According to a late October poll, 57% of Ukrainians don't worry about getting COVID. Only 41% were worried. 77% are worried about the health of their relatives. 23% are not.
This chart shows the change over time. Concern about the virus is lower than it was in April despite the current surge already surpassing the April wave.
I was really hoping concern increased with this Delta wave, but it doesn't look like that is the case.
54% support introduction of lockdowns. 44% do not.
36% of respondents were vaccinated. 18% were interested in getting vaccinated. 43% were not interested.
