I am working on some Dollar Tree crafts

I am bored out of my mind. Been feeling a little lost and needed something to fill my time when I saw some dollar tree crafts online and it got me thinking on what I could create. So I decided to try to create what is supposed to be old fashioned lamp poles.

The materials I used

4 Candle sticks
1 candy jar
2 tea light candle holders
Tealights or electric tea lights
Gorilla Glue
Some decorations
Hot glue

How I did the project

I used candle stick holders to make the lamp posts. I did two types a short one that is suppose to resemble a gas light and a taller earlier electric version. I used the candle holders for both turning the one upside down and gluing it to the top of the other with Gorilla Glue. I used the foaming kind because it forms a better bond and when dried can be painted over to match the paint.

But before the glue I painted the pieces. I put two coats of acrylic paint on them and then baked them in a cold oven turn it to 350 for 30 minutes then completely cool in oven to prevent the paint from chipping or rubbing off. Then after they cool I glue them. Then after that dries which takes a few hours you can glue the candy dish on top of the candle sticks and wait for it to dry. Then decorate it attaching everything with hot glue.

I am going to decorate the other's a little different

Than the black ones are decorated. These are fun to make. Hopefully I can make a few and sell them and I am making a few to give away as gifts. What do you think let me know in the comments below.
