The Florida Southern District Court denied a motion for summary judgment in favor of nChain founder and Bitcoin imposter Craig Wright.

"The court rejects the defendant's allegations that the prosecution is insolvent. The defendant's application is denied on all grounds," the decision says.

Wright's case against the family of his former business partner Dave Kleiman runs from 2018. It is assumed that they together extracted Bitcoin in the early years of cryptographic currency, resulting in the accounts of the Wright-controlled trust must contain more than 1 million BTC. Wright refuses to admit that it has nothing to do with these bitcoins, but cannot provide access keys.

"Wright and its lawyers did their best to avoid the lawsuit. One day the case was close to completion when a contempt of court decision turned against him. The last attempt also failed," writes lawyer Stephen Palli.

Palli explains that if the defendant is able to prove that there are no contradictions with the subject matter of the proceedings and, as a result, his legal right, the court may decide in his favor in absentia. This is what Wright asked for, putting forward six arguments, all of which were rejected by the judge.

As it became known earlier, the court hearing with the participation of the jury in the Wright case will not be held until 2021
