" What can I do for you, gentlemen? "
" We would like to ask you about your disappearance of Laura Schmidt. Her case was opened recently and we are asking everyone involved."
AH looked suprised. Yes, what happened to Laura is still a mystery, but she disappeared five years ago during that huge mess when he was still a high schooler. And to be honest he have his problems to take care of during that time.
" OK. What are you curious about?"
" Did you notice anything strange about Laura before she disappeared?"
" Everything was strange about her. She didn't talk with people, wasn't in any clubs. Heck, I don't even remember if I ever heard her voice. She was always sitting in a corner with her nose burried in a book."
The agents looked at each other. One of them was obviously annoyed.
" I think, it's everything we need to know."
" Are you sure that it's enough?"
" Yes, we asked other witnesses and all of them is saying the same thing. We wish you a good day. Good bye."
And with that the agents left. AH closed the door and scratched his head. What was that all about, he thought for himself.
" Dang it! What now? I am never going to be able to go to sleep with all this in my head. Too many good damn mysteries in this town."
Angry stopped cursing, because his phone was ringing.
"That's funny I spent last year in my house and no messages or visits what so ever. But I leave for three months and suddently everyone wants a piece of me."
He looked at his phone.
"Oh, it's Tim. Haven't heard from him for a while."
" Hi man. How is going?"
" Like always man. So many comic books, so little time to read them all."
" That's great. Listen, what did you call?"
" You know, how you where looking for that certain book? I saw it here in the city."
" Wait here in the city?! Are you sure?"
" One hundred percent sure, man! Meet me in front of the old bookstore in a hour."
Tim ended the call. AH could barely hide his joy.
" YES! After all that time Iwill finally keep my promise."
AH put on his coat, locked the front door behind him. He was running on a pure happiness to the place of the meeting. However he didn't know that the things are going to be a little bit complicated.
