All in order - Short story

"We have all ever experienced that feeling that comes to us occasionally that what we are saying or doing we have already said or done before, at some very remote time, or that a long time ago we were already surrounded by the same faces, objects and circumstances , and we know perfectly well what is going to be said next, as if we suddenly remember it."

"David Copperfield" (1850), Charles Dickens.

All in order

There are days that repeat without us knowing or moments that reveal warnings or fleeting clicks that save us and we only have a sense of strangeness or a sigh of thanks.

One of these strange episodes happened to my father during a military raid that hunted the entrance of a cargo that would be smuggled down a deserted beach. He was the chief sergeant of the commission and was responsible for the deployment of the men in charge and the surveillance during that night that he was supposed to entry smuggle in boats.

Early, there were no problems, everyone was awake and alert. But, as the night progressed, one by one fell into the drowsiness of awake sleep, until it was just a dream and everyone fell asleep, even my father. Then, during the dream, my father saw a military Jeep approaching, with the lights off, and some major military officers came down and rebuked him for having neglected the mission, the gallons of his uniform detached them and degraded him in front of his subordinates, for breach of duty.

In that, he woke up with a lot of shock and hurriedly woke up his commissioned guards and once everyone was alert, they saw a Jeep arrive with the lights off and, on board, a Captain and his group, finding everything in order.

Saludos @zeleiracordero.
