I created a simulated film leader video a few years ago and uploaded it to YouTube. It got quite a few views and also resulted in several people asking me if they could use it in their own videos. I would always give them permission as long as they credited me.
Film Leader
This is the video I created. I'm showing the YouTube version here because DTube does not yet allow its video player to be embedded in Steemit posts.
What I really enjoyed was when creators would send me a link to their videos showing me how they used my short clip.
I would love to see DTube creators do the same by making use of my Film Leader video in some way and then sending me a link to the published video.
Stop motion video someone created using my film leader animation
If you would like to create your own video using my Film Leader animation, follow the instructions, below.
Download the DTube Video
- Click on the link above
- Right click on this video and then click on Save Video As... or something similar.
- Save the video to a folder on your computer
Use It in Your Own Video
Once you've completed the steps above, go ahead and create your own video and include the Film Leader video in it, somehow. Get as creative as you want.
Examples:
- shorten the clip so it only counts down from 5
- speed it up or slow it down
- flip it around or upside down
- apply a fun filter to it
- etc.
Or you can use it as is.
Upload It to DTube
After you've created your video, go ahead and upload it to DTube. Be sure to include the Creative Commons license in your video's description (scroll down for license).
After you've done that, post a link to your video in the comments of this post.
