What Is Creative Commons License? Why Is It Important?

Creative Commons is the global community that breaks down the walls that keep people from sharing their knowledge. Copyright was originally intended to have the means to establish the origination of a particular work, so that compensation owed from money made through third party use of that work, could be correctly allocated without confusion. Instead, copyright has become a tyrannical locking down of knowledge and creativity away from the general public, permitted only by a privileged few.

As Creative Commons becomes more widely accepted, the tyrannical rule of what copyright has devolved into, comes closer to an end.
