It is interesting that loneliness is the major attribute of creative people yet society wants them to be social and community oriented. When all a creative person wants to do is to be alone and draw, or write or play music. That is your predominant love, being engrossed in a creative act. When choosing between a social gathering and creating, the latter always wins. But this makes for a lonely existence, especially since you see no point in keeping up with your friends on a regular basis, unless you are going through a fallow period in your creative life. Selfish, yes, but necessary, because if you stop heeding your creative voice and impulses you will stop having them.

This is particularly difficult for a life partner unless they understand and are willing to tolerate your moods and creative cycles.

"Loneliness is the driving force of creativity."

Without a feeling of loneliness, which in turn makes you want to communicate and express your emotions there would be no motivation to create. When you create you commune with both yourself and the world and there is nothing more exhilarating and scary than that.

As a creative person myself I sometimes find if frustrating to talk to people since many people don't understand me, due to that I won't easily engage in a conversation

This very true

When you are creative, intuition and depth of thought are elevated.

Inconsequential and trivial social memes have no worth and that separates the creative at social levels.

Nice interspection @elewarne
