Crispy Buttermilk Fried Chicken

What you will need:

1 whole chicken broken down into wings, breasts, thighs and drums

1 pint buttermilk

4 cups flour

1 1/2 tablespoons paprika

2 tablespoons powdered garlic

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon seasoning salt

2 teaspoons black pepper

Prep:

Place the chicken in a large bowl or container and pour the buttermilk on the chicken. Seal the container and place the chicken in the refrigerator overnight.

Combine all the dry ingredients in a larger mixing bowl and mix them together by hand until everything is incorporated together.

Next using either a deep fryer or a pot heat cooking oil to 375 degrees.

Take out the chicken and coat the pieces evenly, placing each piece gently into the oil, don't crowd the fryer or pot, about 4 pieces at a time max.

cook the chicken for about 10 to 12 minutes

remove the chicken from the oil and let cool on a paper towel, make sure the chicken is cooked through before consuming and enjoy!
