Tim Wise is aggressively wrong all the time while being widely followed, which is why I suffer through his diatribes on occasion.

First of all, the majority of calls to cancel To Kill a Mockingbird have come from the left because it portrays a woman lying about rape.

Second, and most importantly, even if I throw Wise a bone here and pretend that MLK's vision were entirely in line with Critical Race Theory, he's still wrong.

There's a fundamental, glaringly obvious difference between honestly describing the beliefs of a historical figure and preaching the beliefs of the historical figure as gospel.

Namely, it's one thing to teach, "This person believed this."

It's another thing to say, "This person believed this and he was right."

It's downright immoral to teach, "This person believed this and he was right and if you voice a dissenting opinion you'll fail my class."
