Microsoft embrace decentralized ID systems built on Blockchain

Microsoft has announced their embrace of public blockchains, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin!

Initially, the longtime tech giant will support blockchain-based decentralized IDs (DIDs) through the Microsoft Authenticator app.

This was very positive news for especially Litecoin to be mentioned, which probably had a lot to do with the fact that Litecoin is up a nice 16% today.

Bitcoin finding it's way into the 2018 Winter Olympics

Winter Olympics this year is in South Korea, and the USA luge team could become a champion for Bitcoin. The USA Luge Foundation has been campaigning for donations in Bitcoin since December 2017, and the team has promised to promote Bitcoin whenever they can.

The team claims to be the first US Olympic group to set up it's own Bitcoin Wallet.

According to Forbes, there is also a ski-rental shop near the Olympic Village that is accepting ETH as payment.

Other than that it's been quiet around crypto currencies during the Olympics so far, even though it is being held in South Korea, which is THE place for crypto currencies. But..on a positive note, some vendors and also a team both accept Bitcoin (and ETH) so even though the adaption is slow..it's happening.

Another key element to take with us, is that WE as a space, have to USE crypto currencies. Every time you use a crypto for something, you are also raising it's value - and therefore you spending cryptos raised the value of the remaining cryptos you have. We can't all just sit and wait for cryptos to explode and be adopted by the mainstream, if we as early adopters are not even going to use it. So hodling is not always the best thing. It depends on why you are hodling. If we all just sit and brood cryptocurrencies like hens, it's eventually going to be worthless. It must be USED. With utility tokens it's different of course. Those are primarily investment securities.

News site gives users choice to see ads or mine crypto

American news outlet Salon is now offering visitors the bizarre option of either disabling their ad blockers or allowing Salon to access a visitor’s “unused computing power”, a veiled way of apparently asking users to allow Salon to mine cryptocurrency via the user’s computer.

Also, earlier this week it was shown that Monero miners had implement some kind of "ware" into a plug in that a lot of websites used, including different government sites. The "ware" then made computing power visiting that page into miners, secretly running mining software on unsuspecting machines.

I love it. Bad ass piracy right there.

South Korea downplays trading ban

SK government signalled it would allow crypto currency exchanges to keep operating in the country.

Hong Nam-ki, minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, reportedly said in a video posted on the presidential website that the country’s policy makers would focus on making digital coins’ trading transparent rather than banning it altogether.

The market today

So, to sum it up, things are looking positive. Like I've been saying all along, nothing fundamental has changed, and this space is growing like crazy. Even though Silicon Valley and Wall Street has missed out so far, they too will join. Thing is, Cryptos is the new hype, and every student going into ingeneering, tech and IT is curious on cryptos. And most of them will work with AI, Robotics, Automation AND the Blockchain. It will all be implemented. And Silicon valley will have to adapt as well. But for a whole world to change..it takes some time. The past 20 years has been insane if you look at the way technology has changed our lives. The next 10! years will be exponentially more insane.

 

 

We're seeing some positive vibes today. The volume is still very low, however it's been going up a little bit the last 12-15 hours from 16million to 19 million.

We are absolutely on track here, and today and the coming days I will spend most of my time to go through all my cryptos and do an evaluation. Any coin that doesn't look ready to take off once we're heading for Mars, will be sold and traded for something better. I suggest you guys too go and get ready for take off. I'm smelling something..something feels very right. Even if we see another huge drop, there is absolutely no fundamental wrongs here.
