I used to think Korea ranked number 1 when it comes to Btc volume . But i was wrong , to my surprise Japan is #1 .
I checked out Coinhills and discovered that Japan have about 60% of BTC volumes which surprised me. Korea isn't #1.

Researched some more , diggeed deeper it seems CoinMarketCap understates Bitcoin volumes on Bitflyer, the largest Japanese exchange, by a huge range $265,000,000 coinmarketcap vs. ~$2,500,000,000 according to Bitflyer in the last 24 hours .

CoinMarketCap is only considering the volume of Bitcoin Japanese Yen pair traded on Bitflyer's main site and missing the volume on Bitflyer Lightning. Large amount of data is not accounted by CoinMarketCap . You can think of it like only getting volume data from Coinbase and not GDAX , which obviously wont show the complete picture .

Once I realized this I started being more active in the Japanese crypto spheres and noticed they're into some coins like Mona coin , Nem .

As Japan relates to manga and anime , Mona coin is one of the popular among japanese people . These coins
are even used to buy daily life products from general stores in japan .

Considering 2020 Japanese Olympics . these coins may get widely used by crypto tourists for settlement .

I'm currently writing a report based on my findings . It's focused on uncovering tokens that are gaining interest with the Japanese crowd but aren't on the radar of Western investors.

Right now i believe Mona coin is very undervalued , 2020 japan Olympic may increase demand for japanese cryptos significantly .

I will share with you if i find something more interesting in coming weeks , let me know if you got some undiscovered gems .

We also need to commend Japanese exchange Coincheck which was hacked . They refunded the victims of this malicious attack .

I expect a huge demand for japanese cryptos .

Bitocean is an other project to keep track of .

Always try to find true potential of coins before it gets noticed by masses .

Right now nobody is talking about how 2020 Japan Olympics can increase the demand for Japanese cryptos .

It is the right time to do your own research .

XEM / JPY

MONA / JPY

ZAIF / JPY

XCP / JPY

PEPE/ JPY

looks like some popular trading pair in Japan . More research needs to be done to unearth the undervalued Japanese crypto . I will keep researching .

Do share with me your views on the topic .
