In order for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies to be used at a worldwide scale one day, they must be able to process transactions fast. Why? Well, if they do not, then billions of people will be waiting for their transaction to go through for days at the current speed or “throughput” (basically the amount that can go through the network at one time). How can blockchains compete with traditional financial systems if they are slow?
I used to love Steem blockchain because things were fast and efficiency, but with so much drama around I don't know how things work anymore. One of the project I like is Halo platform and the blockchain is so fast, when you have a chance check it out: Haloplatform

Interesting.. But don't Steem and Halo platform serves different function?
According to our data at https://www.coingecko.com/coins/halo-platform, Halo provides users with tools to invest in cryptocurrency. Whereas Steem is a content platform blockchain. Of course, if our information is outdated, we'd like to get in touch with whoever represents the project.
Hope you can give us a follow here on Steem!
