I have been posting a few different charts on twitter with daily crypto updates but I realize not everyone totally understands the charts, so I wanted to go through them one by one to give you a quick understanding of what I look at. Forewarning, what I look at isn't necessarily the best way. Everyone will want to analyze the markets in their own way, depending on their own goals, experience, trading style etc. With that caveat, lets jump in.
The first chart I posted is one of the biggest crypto moves (using a subset of only the top 300 coins)
In this image you get a quick feel for what coins have been moving over the past 24 hours and by how much. In addition you have the circle on each bar which is related to the market cap of the selected coin. The point of adding the market cap data point is that it allow you to see another data point easily. We can easily change the size of the circle to equal something else instead of market cap, like the number of days since all time highs (ATH) or percentage change in the past 6months. Its up to you.
Once you find a coin that is moving, its time to jump in and take a closer look at that individual coin
That is what the next chart is for. Because in crypto you have a lot of different coins that have big moves, but they are only pumps and they come back to earth pretty quick, so its good to take a view of the longer term picture.
Once you have flipped through a few charts of the biggest moving coins, you might want to take a look at something else besides the price chart. For coins that have their own blockchain, I like to look at transactions volumes, if available and also social media changes.
Stay tuned, we are working on bringing this other data to life really soon on nvest.ai
