I think that's really not fair that sites like steemvoter exist. The whole idea of curating is to be sure that DTube gets awesome content. If we upvote people by default, based only on their previous videos, we risk that they lower the quality of their content. And if the content sucks, nobody will want to watch DTube videos anymore. Wouldn't that be a pity?
It's also unfair to the creator you're voting be default. Because they think you're upvoting because you loved their work. But you actually just upvoted by default. To understand that better, imagine you have a younger brother and you're playing chess with him. Using steemvoter is like letting your younger brother win. Imagine his disappointment when he finds out you let him win and that he didn't actually earn it.
Let's upvote because we ACTUALLY love the content! Let's put aside our own desire to gain steem and REALLY curate!
